Red carpet pics anyone? Especially great looking guys in suits (ok I admit to massive drooling over Matt Bomer and Matt Morrison to start).

I managed to squeeze in the entire Red Carpet, the football game AND the Awards Show. Pretty good, since the game ended about ten minutes before the show started. I love my DVR!

Here are my thoughts (I haven't read the other 42 pages... you guys are chatty! Hehe):

• I can't stand Ricky Gervais
• I was totally bummed that Boardwalk Empire beat out Mad Men
• I was thrilled that Jim Parsons won
• I really need to watch Temple Grandin
• Melissa Leo's speech rocked!!
• I love Natalie Portman and if anyone else had given her speech I think it would have annoyed me, but coming from her I loved it
• Michael Douglas made me cry (and I loved seeing MY Roberty Downey Jr cheering for him!)
• I think Inception was a better movie than The Social Network, but I loved it, as well...

Red Carpet:

• Claire Danes and Emma Stone were both wearing Calvin Klein and the dresses were very similar looking, although I liked Claire's better. After seeing Claire on the RC, I knew right away that Emma's was the same designer. (Or did I get that backwards?)
• As goofy as Helena's dress was, I thought Tilda Swinton's was absolutely horrifying
• The guys always looks SOOO delicious
• I haven't read any dress reviews yet, and I'm wondering what people will say about the one Michelle Williams wore. I really liked it, but I know people tend to hate anything patterned. (By the same token, I hated Heidi Klum's).
• I'm having trouble picking a best-dressed because there were a LOT of great looking dresses this year. But I think I'm gonna go with Megan Fox in that awesome Armani Prive. Honorable mention to Catherine Zeta-Jones and Amy Adams.

I hate that about certain designers. I know they are supposed to have a certain recognizable signature style, but with some of them, it's so recognizable who the designer is that when you see the dress, the dress wears the woman, not the woman wears the dress. People don't say, "Oh, there's Claire Danes." Instead, their first reaction is, "There is a Calvin Klein dress worn by. . . oh, Claire Danes."

This is the third (or more) season she's shown up like that. Is she purposely snubbing stylists? I'm sure many have offered to dress her - probably for free.

I didn't know Christian Bale had such had a heavy accent.

I didn't either. It surprised me. Knew he was from Wales but wasn't aware his accent was that heavy. I was looking for this thread last night! I can't believe I scanned over it!!!

I was a bit underwhelmed with the dress choices last night.

My favorites from last night:

Michelle Williams. I adore her and at first I was iffy about her dress but I really love it.

Natalie Portman. Stunning girl. Stunning look. She looked fantastic.

Angelina Jolie's dress was pretty, as was Anne Hathaway's...they were both sporting the shoulder pad look.

Olivia Wilde's dress was so pretty but I think a bit too sparkly.

Emma Stone looked nice. Nothing spectacular.

I was not a fan of Michelle Williams dress. Even looking at pictures this morning, it hasn't grown on me. I don't get the flowers especially the straps. It looks like they were glued on.

I kind of thought Michelle Williams dress looked like something you'd wear in the evening after a picnic. It didn't shout out, "Red Carpet" to me.

I like the shape of Olivia Wilde's dress, just too sparkly.

I so hope should pads aren't going to be coming back because of this.
