I always find it strange when couples kiss each other on the cheek. That's why I am asking.

I think it's so they don't smear the makeup & lipstick.

Can't smudge the makeup..thus the kiss on the cheek, gotta keep the lipstick in place.

DH would most likely smack me on the butt and not do a kiss at all..he'd treat it like a good football play.

Great show! Ricky was wonderful as always...not as biting as I'd have liked, but funny. No truly horrifying outfits, though I didn't love Jessica Biel's dress (looked like the corpse bride).

It's more fun when there are some really weird dresses.

This show was a mixed bag for me. There were some funny moments and some that fell flat. I was happy to see Meryl win even though most of them could have won and I'd be OK with it. There were a few actors that I preferred over Clooney but he's fine. I don't know about best picture in comedy/musical because that type of movie just doesn't appeal to me. I guess that I should give it a chance. I pretty much ignore the TV awards because I never agree with those.

I'm totally thrilled that Scorcese won best director! I adored Hugo and I'm glad to see it win something.
