The Official GLEE thread

I thought it started off a little slow but I enjoyed it.

Loved the songs tonight. I thought they were perfect.

When two men dance, how do they figure out which one leads? :confused3

I love the song, Just the Way You Are. :thumbsup2

I found myself getting very teary a lot during that episode! The wedding, Finn's speech to Kurt. Although I feel like that's the same story-line over and over.

The Sue wedding story-line was just ridiculous. I did not find that funny at all.

Annie is one of my favorite movies, I just listened to the soundtrack in my car yesterday...what I wouldn't have given to hear Carol Burnett sing "Little Girls!"

I loved it!!! It was the first time they've made me cry this season, and I cried alot. The whole wedding was so sweet. Just The Way You Are was awesome. LOVED Burt dancing down the aisle. He is my favorite!!!!!!

The wedding was so sweet, especially the speech Burt gave. Loved the "Do you take this woman . . . You BET I do!!!"

Nice to see Finn finally coming around to accepting his new family.

Felt so bad for Kurt being terrorized - and sadly, I'm sure this kind of thing happens everyday.

Sue was great when she kicked Karofsky out of school, but her wedding to herself was just too weird. I did not like that story line, but I did LOVE seeing her duet with Carol Burnett!

Interesting story twist with Kurt leaving for Dalton Academy . . .

I think the writers come up with some improbable story lines to fit in the guest stars. For instance, John Stamos in "Rocky Horror" (really, Emma's boyfriend sings in a high school production?) For that matter, the whole "musical productions during dental work" was a strange plot as well (although Heather Morris was awesome.)

I loved Carol Burnett as Sue's mother, but I think the story line could have been done much better -- maybe take out the part about Sue Sylvester marrying herself.

Just wait. We have to look forward to Susan Boyle as a lunch lady.

I'm curious to see how they resolve Kurt. Such a sad story and from what I've been reading in the news, very accurate.

I loved this episode. It was so happy and sad at the same time. I like that Sue is standing up to Karovsky. It's definitely a different side to her. I do wonder what's going to happen with Kurt and the whole sectionals competition. Life is going to get interesting!

I adored last nights episode.

Carol Burnett did not look good. There must be some bad plastic surgery there. My DH wondered if she had a stroke. She did however sound fabulous and is as funny as ever.

I wondered the same thing about Carol. Her face just didn't look "right".

Just caught up with the episode on Hulu. The wedding (the real one) was amazing, while Sue's was just weird (yet so Sue!). Loved seeing Carol Burnett, she's amazing. I feel so bad for Kurt that he doesn't think he can stay at McKinnley (but I agree that Dalton's zero tolerance policy is hard to ignore, schools in real life need to take note). I have to applaud the writers for making the storyline with Kurt relevant to what's going on with kids today.

I thought Carol Burnett looked fine, not weird. She's AGING. And doing it quite gracefully.

As for Kurt. I feel like this whole season has been about Kurt and he's spent the better part of it either crying or moping. Hopefully the move to the other school will give him a chance to be happy for a bit. However, I am pretty sure his stay at Dalton will be short lived. while I have ZERO knowledge about how the season will go down, my spidey sense is tingling, so let me be the first to predict what I think will probably happen...

I bet the bully at McKinley will commit suicide. It's a hot topic, sadly, and the show is VERY topical. So I bet he kills himself because he can't deal with his sexuality, and Kurt will come back to the schooll.

Interesting concept-usually the bully doesnt commit suicide

I know. But since the bully is hiding his sexuality I would imagine the burden on him becomes so great that he just can't handle it anymore. It's just a theory.

I would hope they wouldn't, just because with so many young people doing it, I don't want them to see that as the only way out. I would hope that given how understanding and collected and understanding the father was (I loved Karovsky's father), that he will eventually be able to come out and show that there is hope in these situations. I can't wait to see how it plays out with Kurt and Blaine now that he is at Dalton!

If you watch the extras on Hulu for this episode, he said he didn't know what was in store for his character, including the quote, "Maybe they'll kill me off". It will be certainly be interesting to see how they resolve this. I do love that they have a capella music on the show now, is it sad that I want Dalton to win?

Have you listened to the Christmas stuff available on iTunes? There is a track of Kurt and Blaine singing "Baby It's Cold Outside"

Not episode related, but Glee in general related...

My DD11 LOVES Glee. She buys the music for her itouch. Just wondering if any have suggestions on Glee-related gifts for her for Christmas. She was a Wii and an ipod. Are there cool Glee merch anyone can recommend?
I'm also posting those in General Community section.

thanks!:thumbsup2

If she likes to sing, there is a Glee app where you can sing along with the songs. I downloaded it but never used it. I thought my DD11 would love it but she didn't want to record her singing voice.

I'm getting my gleek the Wii Glee Karaoke game. It comes with a microphone remote and has all the songs from the first season with scenes from the show and alot of cool things like that. You get to "sing" with all the characters too. I think amazon has the cheapest price right now.
