The Official GLEE thread

I loved most of the music, and adored the episode as a whole, but I really thought Finn's Losing my Religion sounded awful. His voice sounded strained and it was flat as can be.

I agree and I also didn't like his Grilled Cheesus. It was shallow when the rest of the episode had some real substance--i'm not liking Finn this season and I have like him before--maybe he and Rachel are better as singles than a couple! :happytv:

:lovestruc Kurt's "I wanna hold your hand" :lovestruc

Something came up so I was unable to watch Glee in regular time slot, so I went to bed, but woke up at 4 am today ... and knew what I wanted to do. Ended up downstairs in the dark with my laptop watching the show online. It was fabulous! I'm a very emotional person, so the tears flowed throughout the show. The music was wonderful. Kurt's and Mercedes song performances were so moving, actually all the songs were great, but agree that Finn's "losing my religion" just did not match up to the level of the other performances.

I liked this episode. We finally see the softness in Rachel, a different side to Quinn, and even Brittany wasn't so bubble headed. I do love this show! :cloud9:

What was that 2nd duet Finn and Rachel sang from?

This was a good episode! Although, I'm getting more and more sick of "rachel." I'm afraid the girl who plays her is forgetting the character that she started as....something is just off.

I am sooooooo excited for the Rocky Horror episode next week! There was a time in my life that I listened to that soundtrack non-stop! I was even Dr. Frankenfurter for Halloween one year. :thumbsup2 OMG and the new guy as Rocky? He's PERFECT! Looks just like him!

I loved this episode:worship:The arrangement of Bab's Happy Days that Kurt and Rachel sang brought me to tears:flower3:What a talented cast:thumbsup2

I agree about rachel..... and ITA about the new guy as rocky LOL

Where was puck???

I'm thinking they just had to remove Puck for a week, so they had a good reason to bring in Sam. I have not heard anything about Mark Salling not being on the show. And I would cry if he left LOL.
I am assuming it's not on next week, since they said the Rocky Horror was in 2 weeks?

In juvie.

Overall, not thrilled with this episode. I didn't recognize any of the music, so it was just "eh" for me.

The Rocky Horror episode is on the 26th.

Does Lea Michele ALL WAYS have to sing a Barbra Striesand song? I understand she is/was on broadway in Funny Girl, but come on give it a rest.

Looks like next week is a repeat episode.

I loved tonight's episode....of course, I think I love every episode

Rachel is not bothering me at all, and she can sing Streisand as often as she wants, as far as I am concerned, because she does it so well. She is so talented, I just love watching her. :thumbsup2

I did think the scene with Brittany and Santana on the bed was a little weird, but I am glad to see they are giving the lesser cast members from last season bigger roles.

I guess since she totally nailed Don't Rain on my Parade, they are pumping her full of Striesand! Seriously though, that was my all time favorite Glee moment and I don't think they will ever be able to top that. It literally took my breath away when she was singing that song.

Totally weird!

I liked the episode, I just cant watch Lea Michele sing.. those faces she makes!

I really enjoyed tonight's episode. I thought the duet with Santana and Mercedes was the best one. Although, Kurt has an amazing voice.

And how full of herself is Rachel that she thinks they would have to throw the competition to make sure they didn't win.

I would also like to hear Quinn and Brittany sing more often.

I knew all of the songs; I'm probably old enough to be your mother.

The song Mike and Jasmine sang was from "A Chorus Line". The duet Rachel and Kurt did at the end was originally done by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. The song Kurt did by himself was from "Victor, Victoria".

I liked tonight's episode. I thought it was well done and the duets were fabulous.

The one thing that has been bothering me lately, is Lea's facial expressions when she sings. It is so over the top, especially in the last song tonight.
