Rather than replacing Carly, I almost wish they would've killed her off instead! (although nobody really dies on a soap anyway!) I hate having to readjust to a completely new person, not only in the looks department, but how their voice sounds, how they move, etc.! It messes with my head, and it doesn't take much these days, LOL!

I had only watched GH from about 1975-1978, then I started working full time and lost all touch with Port Charles until 1989 when I went on maternity leave. That was back in the day of Decker and Dawn, and Frisco and Felicia, and the "Floating Rib" restaurant that everyone frequented. Luke and Laura were long gone by then, although they did bring Anthony Geary back, but not as Luke, as Bill Eckert, his cousin. Anyone remember Jenny and Bill Eckert? Then Bill was killed in the caverns when he took a bullet that was meant for Lucky.

I also remember Brenda's sister who fell in love with Bill Eckert, what was her name?

I want to know what happened to Sly. Remember him? He was an Eckert & he hung out with Lucky. Brenda's sister had a fling with AJ (Sean Kana), if I remember correctly. What was her name? I can picture her. Julia?

I, for one, am ready for the new Carly. I like the actress playing her, she was good on OLTL. I hope Tamara Braun eats some cheeseburgers soon, she has lost so much weight that her face looks sunken in & she is no longer very attractive.

I remember Sly, I enjoyed his interaction with Lucky. You know I wish some of the writers would remember the stuff we viewers remember and incorporate them into the current line.

I remember when Sarah Brown was replaced by Tamara Braun and NOBODY liked it, fans didn't give her a chance and everyone on the ABC boards bashed her. She proved everyone wrong and she did a better job than SB. I think we should all give the new Carly a chance.

While I'd prefer Tamara Braun to come back, I was really pleasantly surprised at how well this person is playing Carly! She not only looks like Tamara, she sounds like her. Her facial expression when she saw Sonny & Reese was so Tamara - she must have really studied her.

It will be hard, but it could have been much worse. I just hope she takes a while to make Carly her own - to give us time to adjust.

I agree we need to give her time to make the job hers. Let's face it we've all replaced people at work and have been replaced. Each person brings their own to the job.

I'm more unhappy with the whole AJ/Alan/Monica situation. They have distroyed that family for no reason.

I think for her first day, the nuCarly did very well. She wasn't over-the-top, which I thought Tamara Braun was when she first started. Of course, I was never a huge fan of Tamara's, so this transition will probably be easier for me. I still miss Sarah Brown.

I agree about Monica/Alan/AJ, what an awful story.

I thought in the first couple of scenes NuCarly seemed really nervous, but as the scenes wore on and by the end of the second day, she was better. I am ok with nu Carly and going to give her a shot!

I'm actually liking nuCarly at little. I like her voice much better. Her arms bother me though! She needs some sleeves!

I noticed her arms too. I think she is okay. For some reason she seems masculine to me (in a Hilary Swank kind of way).

I'm not taking to the new Carly at all. I hope AJ is gone real soon, he's just sick!!! I can't believe the way Alan has been acting and I believe everyone will be better off with AJ GONE!

So how long do you think it will take for Michael to believe that Sonny & Carly have been looking for him and really do want him back? I find it hard to believe that Michael is supposed to be so strong, smart and tough, yet he believed everything AJ told him pretty quickly.

I'm fine with the new Carly. She has really gotten a lot of Tamara's mannerisms and expressions down. I have a feeling she's purposefully copying them right now (like Tamara died her hair to look more like Sarah Brown when she started) so it will be easier for us to adjust, and then gradually she'll make the character more "her own". It's still not "natural", like she's always been there, but it's only been 4 days, and I think it's going to be pretty easy for me to totally adjust to her.

I think it's funny that every day they keep saying, "The role of Carly Corinthos is now being played...." They may have to keep that up for a while, so that straglers realize what's going on!

I think that this whole AJ/Michael storyline is very, very twisted and sick. The poor kid is going to need counseling when it's over.

I am liking the new Carly. I think that she will do just fine. Boy her eyes are really big just like Tamara's.

I'm still thinking on the new Carly. I think she has the old Carly mannerisms down ...and they did cast someone with the same type of big eyes.

However...when I first saw her...I thought it was Agent Reese..until I looked more closely. I mean it is what it is...this is really such a main character, I'm
surprised that they didn't give it a bit of time...have Carly off on to the "island" or something before they replaced with a new actress. I agree also that she doesn't have the same feminine or appearance that the old Carly had. She definetly looks a bit harsher...in perhaps a somewhat masculine type of way.

So does anyone have any idea who is behind the confession box working with Durant??? My guess is that it's Scotty Baldwin....afterall, he didn't die in that hotel fire...he took the bag of treasures and left.

I don't know about you guys, but I thought today's episode was REALLY good. Well, the KFC/Jax stuff I could've done without, but I thought everything else was good. I even liked Emily! I love Jason & Sam together. I really like the new Carly, although I think she resembles Alexis quite a bit (not that there's anything wrong with that ).
