Okay... I'm watching Friday's ep on the DVR -- had to TURN OFF THE TV because I was laughing so hard -- Carly and Bobbie are having a mother-daughter heart-to-heart about Tony and Courtney's deaths... and Carly says "I was watching a commercial that said the Oscars were going to be on Sunday night on ABC and I was about to pick up the phone to tell Courtney..."

Talk about cross promotion! Are you KIDDING me?? WHAT are they smoking these days at GH??!?

I am loving the Nikolas/Maxie setup they seem to have going though...

I rolled my eyes at the ABC plug as well.

I'm actually feeling sorry for Nik not knowing the baby is really his own. Can't stand the new Nik hair-do though! I do think he is capable of great acting skills, they just don't put them to use.

The old Jax, the character he was when he first started on GH, he wouldn't have kept the fact that he's the father from Nik, but the writers have really screwed him up bad! I'm sure our grandchildren will be watching when it finally comes out that Nik, age 65, is finally introduced to his "son."

What does everyone think of the possible romance between Courtney and Jax?

Oops, yes! LOL! That's who I meant, Carly and Jax!

I don't know what to think. On one hand, Jax has become so dubious that he'd become a perfect "partner in crime" for Carly. It would probably piss off Sonny too.

On the other hand, I can't see Jax with anyone on GH at the moment! I used to really love Jax's character. But in the last 2 years or so, blech!

I like the pairing of Carly and Jax. The relationship dynamic is totally different between them than their previous relationships. It's going to be refreshing to see her with someone other than Sonny. I use to like Sonny and Carly, but when TPTB brought in Laura Wright it was such a difference in Carly's that it was easy for me to get away from "I love Carly and Sonny together." He was good with Tamara Braun and Sarah Brown, but Laura is so completely different.

I also think the pairing would liven up Jax's character. With Carly nothing is simple and boring and that is what Jax has been doing since Brenda left.

Bumping this up. I guess Nicholas finally gets Courtney's ashes and he has his farewell-good-bye to her.

I'm really not liking Jax in his story line right now. We all know Jax wants to be a father-but if this would be a female keeping the secret-the female would be having some kind of mental problems. I hate how GH is making it ok that Jax gets to raise this little guy. If I have to hear Jax say how great a father he will be and how he will raise "little Jon" to his best ability-I'll scream. I never felt like writing to a soap program, but I sure do now.

I just had a thought about Sam's search for her mother. I missed yesterday's show (forgot to put the tape in the VCR), so forgive me if this was brought up. Why wouldn't Sam look for a family connection with Allegra, the woman that kidnapped her since she looked just like her daughter? That would seem like the most likely place to start. Of course we all know that Alexis will turn out to be her mom, but this is just another example of the writers forgetting about past storylines and doing what is convenient in the present.

I agree that the dynamic between Jax and Carly is so different it's refreshing for a change, but I just don't know about the two of them. As long as they don't get romantically involved, I'll be okay with it! I don't like Jax at all right now. I am loving the new Carly though.

So where do you all think Sonny is taking Emily? He said he wanted to make new memories, so they're not going to his island now.

And what about Skye being pregnant? I wonder if it's really Luke's baby!

I really am upset at how the writers are making it okay for Jax to raise little Jon as his own. Doesn't anyone notice how detached he is towards the baby sometimes and then other times he's just possessive. I'm not liking it.

Another story I can't enjoy is Emily and Sonny. They're just too strange together. The whole thing with Sonny and Courtney's mom would have really turned me off, but Emily just explains it away.

Sonny with Emily is for lack of a more mature word...icky. Can't help it..I think he is way to old for her. Not that he is ancient or anything...but could we see him with possibly a person who is not that much older than Michael! I guess when I think Emily..I think of the old Emily(think Joan of Arcadia..high school student)..and haven't adjusted to the new aged Emily. Although even at that..I think he is still too old for her. Given the history of the characters..and Emily was young..running to Jason for help..and having Carly as a sister-inlaw...a couple of times! This makes it hard for me to see a development between she and Sonny..because for years he was sort of this almost father figure. I am glad to see Sonny move on from the Carly merry go-round of "I love her..she betrayed me..I hate her..no now I love her again", I just wouldn't mind seeing some real development of the character to say God-for-bid...someone who was a bit more mature..and not an impressionable kid? You gotta know...that Emily is going to become pregnant at some point(I know the cancer)..but she likely had eggs stored somewhere..you know that's going to happen! Then here we go again..Sonny populating Port Charles!

I thought they did! I thought it was as recently as December though. You know how pregnancies are on Soaps. They're either really short...or drag on forever!

What's with the need within the last year or so to have everyone be pregnant? I could see writing a real pregnancy into the storyline, but none of them have been IRL, have they in the past year or so? And it seems when they really are pregnant, they try and disquise it!

The actress that plays Skye, Robin Christopher, is pregnant IRL, she's expecting a baby girl I think in June, but I could be wrong. They did disguise her first pregnacy, I think it was 2 years ago.

Also, the rumor going around is that Natalia Livingston, who plays Emily, is pregnant IRL (daddy is Tyler Christoper--Nikolas). I wonder if it is true and if they will write it into the storyline if it is.

Okay, isn't Skye a week pregnant, if that? And having symptoms already? This has got to be one of the fastest sleep-together-turn-around-I'm-pregnant stories...
Although I do like Lorenzo and Skye. What will Luke say? And will Manny tell Skye about the chart switch?

Personally I think they are just writing Robin's pregnancy in since Kari Whuher (Reese) is suing them for firing her right after she announced her pregnancy.

If Natalia IS pregnant I pray they don't write it in. Sonny can not have any more children. Let her walk around with giant purses like Skye and Elizabeth did during their first pregnancies. They have some business rival of Sonny's kidnapp her while she's on maturnity leave.
