The Official Free Dining Watch 2007 Thread

When you are checking the Disnney Website do you go into Backstage Pass or is there somewhere else? Please Help Me!!! Looking for code or discount for July/Aug

MARNA!! soooo good to see you! :)

i see you're going down for MNSSHP this year... ENJOY! we loved it last year... we're going for Pirates & Princesses this year (which reminds me, i've gotta make a ticker! LOL!)

how's the laundry going? ;)
Gigi:
Oh, the older the kids get, the more "laundry" I find myself needing to do.:rotfl2: I am anxiously awaiting the free dining announcement. We made reservations and have already paid off WL for Sept. 29 thru Oct. 8. I really want to do MNSSHP and the PFTS. It looks like I may have to change our dates to have us arriving on the 22nd though if the rumors are correct. I'm just afraid we won't get the WL.:sad2: Our second choice is CBR which I'm sure would be fun too and we would still be able to do the two parties that week:banana: .

I suppose I'll have to change my ticker too. When are you all going?

just so you know, a little birdie told me that the deluxes will have the most free dining availability, so you should be safe w/WL...

we're going late august... planning a grand gathering for about 12-20 of my closest sibs/ils/nieces/nephews... [just a side note: i know last year when we used to chat regularly, my dad was ill and we almost had to cancel our trip... well, he finally went to his eternal rest in late february, and this trip evolved from our all being together for the funeral and such... we figured we needed to all get together under happy circumstances instead of waiting for funerals! and free dining would make it all the sweeter and may help my family to understand that my disney freakishness is sometimes helpful! LOL!]

we're hoping to catch a Pirates/Princesses party instead of MNSSHP, which we LOVED last year :)

have a great day all... i'll be back late this afternoon (i owe, i owe, so off to work i go ;) ) don't let anything big happen w/out me!

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up. I caught DH as soon as he walked in the door from work last night. I made him check his email because I wanted our Disney Visa cardholder free dining offer. There was nothing there! I was so disappointed. Reading this post this morning made me feel much better! :thumbsup2

...I can't believe that they wouldn't extend to the end of Sept like with the bounceback program, why do they get a longer time????:confused3
Well, if Disney feels they already have and/or will get enough bookings for the last week of September then they have no reason to offer a promotion for that time. KWIM?

If the goal is to sell 10,000 rooms for each week of September, they offer UK and bounceback specials, weeks 1-3 sell 5,000 rooms each with the promos, week 4 sells 10,000 rooms. When the next promo comes out -- and there will be a next promo in this example, because they have not reached their goal -- it will be for weeks 1-3 only. Why? They've reached their goal for week 4 so no reason to discount any further for that week. They'll target the promo to their specific goals.

can you tell me the discount code for $57 per night? can you forward me the email?

Wish I could, but it specifically says "non-transferrable." It is a PIN code that is just for the recipient of the e-mail.

A few days ago we were talking about the toll-free number for WDW travel. I thought I wrote it down, but I can't find it. Anybody know it real quick? I promise I'm typing it into my DIS spreadsheet this time.

I wish I could get lucky with an email. I check my junk folder all the time and there is nothing in there but junk. Crossing my fingers for some type of deal. We are going 9/28-10/6 specifically for my birthday and I don't want to change my dates. Hopefully all of us get some type of "discount".

I just posted this on the other free dining thread...

I called this morning to try to book a package using this code. No dice. It is a "room only" code. I can only speculate that it's due to free dining being offered during the same period. That would just be too cheap!

What dates is it for? A room only discount would be great for us. Pity the pin is not transferable but I keep checking my inbox hoping for one :)

It is for dates between 8/21 and 10/3. You have to book by May 11th. It was for $57 per night, std room at value resort. The total per night after tax is $64.13.

I was going to book a 4-night stay starting 9/18 so that I would qualify for free dining and still be there for the MNSSHP. They put the kabosh on that, huh? :lmao:

I guess I'd rather wait and see about the free dining. I think it would save us more money (if we decide to go at all.... it will be really a tough sell getting DH to go back a month after we just finished a huge trip).

Hi All,

This is my first post and first off I want to say "Hello" and thanks for all of the information I have gained reading this forum.

Now to the Info.

I talked to my travel agent yesterday about the free dining plan after reading about the possibility here. She said contractually she was not allowed to say anything.............but...........Disney "may" be making an announcement on April 19th and that it would be a good idea to call her on the 20th to re-book my honeymoon at Disney in late August.

Mirth.....I got an email last week from Disney Insider that would not have been the dicount would it? I always just delete them cuz they are always about new movies and stuff like that!! LOL!!!

Welcome to the Dis!:welcome: :disrocks: You will gain so much info here your brain will hurt and you will see Mickey heads in your dreams!

Heres hoping for Free Dining! The 19th.....that is one date we haven't heard of around here. We heard the 4th or the 12th.....Another date to confuse us!!!

I crunched a few numbers. Remember, this is just estimates and it's for my party only which is just 2 adults who aren't especially hearty eaters.

IF a code becomes available for a room only for approx $66/night at a value resort, including the cost of a park ticket for 1 of the adults since I have an AP it's $617 for 6 nights and estimated dining costs of around $75/day combined bring it to $1067

IF free dining is offered, I currently have a value resort room booked for the correct time frame which cost me $775 including 1 adult 6 day ticket and I didn't use any codes so I assume that was rack rate. Adding on $67 for a 1 day ticket for me to make it a package rather than room only so it's eligible for free dining brings it to $842.

We'll take free dining for $300 please Alex.
