Is the 40% code still available? If those dates are correct, it looks like the free dining will be a no-go for me......you can't pull kids out of college for WDW!

No the code was only out till I think March 15th but I'm sure someone on here will correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry that you wont be able to make the free dining trip. Maybe you should go without the kids. Now there is a thought.

Just talked to my TA, she stated that Disney told her that it is already booked up for Aug. dining - not sure if they only sell so many Dining Plans or what. She also said that yes, she does belive that the free dining will be out but will be very limited. Should I go ahead and book or wait, I am so scarred that I may miss it.

I don't know how she can say it's already booked up since it's (free dining) not even out yet. As a TA myself, I just called Disney Travel to verify this.

I just also checked on a regular dining plan package in August and there was plenty of availability.

Or did she means restaurants?

Sounds like she's trying the hard sell - I could be way off, but that's just what popped into my mind. (did she used to work for timeshare sales? LOL)

I'll be really sad if the "dates" are true. I'm arriving on 9/28 just in time for my birthday. I don't want to change the dates for the week before. Oh well, guess I'll just have to pay for dining or skip it and try to budget money for food and eat less table service and more counter service. I'm so bummed. I do hope that they do offer something for everyone else who is going at the time. Would they offer 2 "discounts" at the same time, I wonder? I'll make the best of it since we are going to my favorite place and won't be going back for a while. Keeping "everything" crossed.

The booked up Aug. dates were not for the free dining just for the dining package. I am not sure if they only take so many on the package or not that is just what she said.

Of course you could be the dumb **** that posted that not even realizing that the year was 2006... what a loser...

Anyways... the link on the tail end of the page does have some "fact" to it... I hope... of course that could be from 2006 too... right now I'm thinking that I totally stink at this game...

I really don't know why Disney just doesn't release the details. IMO they're just making things harder on themselves by prolonging the agony. I feel certain that everyday hundreds, if not thousands, of people are still calling to make "bogus" reservations (ie: one's that will be cancelled if free DDP isn't offered). You'd think that even they would want a clear picture of what the occupancy rates would truly be.

I'm actually going to be out of town the first week of April and will have to call CRO everyday as I won't have internet access. I hate to do it, but it will drive me crazy wondering if I'm missing out on free DDP. Also, so many rooms are already booked with the UK/Bounceback/40% offers that I feel there will be extremely limited availability with the rumored small window of dates. Oy!!!
