I know what you mean! I began thinking about this trip in 2006. I was pregnant with my first little princess and knew we would bring her for her 5th b-day. I can't believe that day is almost here!!

Yes, agree with you. My husband pointed out to me yesterday that soon Disney will be in the rear-view mirror ! Two weeks from today - hooray !

What to do, what to do ?

WOW!

That's a really, really, really LOOOOOOOONG time to wait.... But how exciting... Your daughters first Disney trip! :cool1: Extra warm wishes to you and the family I hope you all have a wonderful time! :thumbsup2

We got our Mickey Mail today!!!:cool1: I wasn't expecting it until next week as we don't leave until Feb. 25 but we'll take it.:)

I had to call Disney twice to give them our flight information and today when we received our information it still showed up without our flight info added. I called them and was told that they didn't have the info but yet they sent us our luggage tags. Odd.:confused3 She said she updated our flight info but I am concerned as this makes three times I have now called regarding this. I think I will call again tomorrow to make sure it is in their system.

We took our dd to Disney World over her 5th birthday when she was really into all the princesses. We got to eat breakfast at Cinderella's Castle where she met all of them. She was in absolute heaven and so cute dressed up as Cinderella. She still has the picture of her and Cinderella framed in her room and she's 11 now!

Your daughter will have a wonderful time and they are memories you will cherish forever!!:cloud9:

Hmm. We leave Feb 9th. Do I *need* Mickey Mail in order to come to Disney World, or if I don't get it is it not a big deal?

Edit: I searched the boards and found someone who said only people with a package get Mickey Mail, not those of us with room-only reservations. If that is the case, then I guess I'm fine. I am getting occasional mailings from Disney (e.g. got one with a photopass card recently) so they do know I'm coming. But I haven't gotten luggage tags or coupons, and I don't know what else I might be missing.

I had the same thing happen. I called Disney 3 different times and whenever they input one flight, they would lose the other; for example if they input the arriving flight, then they would lose the departing info.
I called ME directly and they input the info in their computer, they had my departing info, but not my arriving.
Anyway, I got my Mickey Mail with the ME luggage tags, but it's still not showing my flight info. I've given up, I know there will be plenty of buses to take us to the resort, as long as I have the luggage tags we'll be fine.
I also remember that in the packet last year there was a page for ME to tear off as we boarded the bus, but I don't see any pages dedicated to ME at all. :confused3

My trip is February 11-16! This one is a big deal, as it is the first one I planned 100% myself (I usually go with family) and it's my boyfriend's first ever visit to Disney. It's my first stay at WL. My packet came in the mail the same time as the 2012 Vacation Planning DVD (want to make sure I'm not missing anything!) so we had a lot to keep us occupied while we were snowed in!

So glad I am not the only one with that problem! My Mickey Mail also had "no flight info" under arrival and departure so I called and was told they had a recent software update and it seemed to be messing with the flight info. It won't show up online or on paperwork, but they did have all my flight info when I called and asked. They said as long as you have the booklet you will be fine when you arrive.

This is the time as the trip nears that I worry about things going wrong. Anyone else?? Or am I just a paranoid fool lol

I didn't know about the software update. They told me the same thing about having our booklet and being fine using ME. Last time we went we got our own luggage from baggage claim and loaded it unto the shuttle. I think we are going to end up doing that again just to insure no missing bags and that we don't have to wait a long time to get them to our room. Still trying to decide. Anyone else just get their own bags?

Yep, here too. I worry about someone getting sick as one of the kids has gotten sick each time we have gone to Disney. Or I worry about weather delaying or cancelling our flights, luggage being lost, reservations being lost, etc., etc. My dear hubby likes to say that a day isn't complete if I'm not worrying about something.:laughing:

Here, I will send good vibes to all of us for nothing too bad happening to our Disney vacations!!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:

I plan on getting my own bags, as I don't want to have to wait a few hours to get them after check-in.

I plan on getting our own bags also. I have a control problem. :) unfortunately I do not trust most people to do their jobs correctly so I feel I need to do it myself in order to have things run smoothly! Literally every time I have given up control, something goes wrong. So now I just plan to do everything on my own and it makes me a happier person. My husband thinks I am nuts. I am. LOL!

I was trying to be nice about getting my own bags, but yeah, this is completely me, minus the husband, since I don't have one! :rotfl2:

I was also planning to get our own bags. Is there any advantage to letting them get them? Do you get to your resort faster, or does the bus just wait anyhow for people to get their bags first?

Any reports of people losing their luggage when Disney gets it?
