*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

We went mid feb. 2010 and the days were not bad (DH and I in shorts and t-shirts) the only time we broke out the light jackets was when the wind picked up, a sprinkle of rain fell, and after the sun went down. DD(age5) was dressed as a princess (various costumes) but we always kept her in leggings underneath and had a zip up hoodie nearby as she tends to get colder easier. However on the last 2 days of our trip I purchased velveteen dressup princess gloves at one of the gift shops as DD's hands were gettig pretty cold at night.

**If should be noted that DH (originally Chicago) and Me (originally Michigan) are from Alaska and when our Alaskan winter (which is 9months of the year) reaches -40degressF for weeks at a time, cold is relative, lol.**

:yay: Can't wait!! It's getting cold up here in the northeast! We've never been down in February, but it's my least favorite weather month up here, so I'm really looking forward to this trip!

Doing a ticker check! Double Digits!:banana::banana:

Can anybody tell me how the crowds will be during the 10th-17th? I know we're leaving right before Presidents day and expect the crowds to get heavier towards the end of our trip.

Thanks!

I have never been to WDW in Feb, does anyone know how the weather is?

We went Feb 16-21, this year. It was GORGEOUS! Sunny every day, mid-70's during the day and 50's-60's at night. We wore light jackets in the morning and evening, and during the day, tshirts and pants/cargo/capris.

It was wonderful, especially in the midst of the very harsh winter we had here. It was so green and beautiful!

I'lll get to experience Feb AGAIN in 2012 as I just booked a last minute (for us) trip Feb 16-20, with my parents along :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Can't wait!

Although I'm from the UK, my wife is from Michigan and I lived there for about 5 years... given the snow and ice in MI, I'm sure we can handle any chilliness in FL in Feb! to all the Michiganders!

The only thing worrying me about our Feb trip is that we're having a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding (Vow Renewal) on the 18th. I just hope the weather holds out for us that day because our ceremony is on the beach and our reception is at Fantasmic! so if the weather is bad our whole day will be messed up!

Aww, I hope things work out for you guys! The weather in February can be quite unpredictable.

Hello February Travelers,,, I feel as though time is flying buy, which is typical for the holidays..... But I must continue to ask;

ARE WE THERE YET? :confused3

Can I join in this party? We are taking our first family trip Feb 4th-11th. Can I just tell you how excited I am to be able to stay at the Poly?! :cool1:
This will be my DH and DS's first time. The last time I went was back in 1992 and I have never spent a whole week and never stayed on property before, so this should be awesome! Our budget is very much more value resort than deluxe, but thanks to a very generous XMas present...we will be able to stay at the Poly! :cloud9:

I am pretty new to the DISworld and have been concentrating my time on the TR and PTRs, so I have not come across this thread before. I started planning at 288 days and we are down to 75! I noticed on the list at the beginning, there are no other Poly-goers on there. Maybe that means we will have the place to ourselves :upsidedow Hey, a girl can dream...right?

I can now announce that we're officially booked at the Ramada Orlando International Airport.

I'm in too!

This is our annual UCA (cheerleading competition) trip.
A bit different this year since I am not chaperoning my daughter's squad.
If I was, I'd be flying with the team, staying at the All-Stars and not doing much in the way of touring.

As it is now, I am driving, staying off-property (for the 1st time in 13 trips to WDW) and planning on 5 days of park hopping!

We are leaving CT early on February 9th and plan to take 2 days to drive, arriving at Sheraton Vistana LBV on Friday, the 10th. We are staying here free (for us anyway!) on a relative's time share thing.

I have never stayed any where but on property and I've only used WDW transportation to get to the parks.

Can someone who's driven give me an idea what to expect in regard to parking, traffic, trams, etc.?

I'll be traveling with my SIL, my DD 13, DNephew 5 and DN 2.
I think we'll rent a double stroller from Orlando Stroller for the length of the trip - if that matters.

Thanks for any help!:cheer2:

Just checking the ticker...Anyone find good deals on disney items yesterday? or know of any coming up? I am putting to gether a goodie bag / surprise basket for my DD who has no idea we are going to Disney. Going to surpise her with it right before we leave in Feb. I have gathered coloring books, markers, stampers, and one princess doll so far.

Does anyone know when the UCA Night at Magic Kingdom is? They don't check in till the 10th so i can't imagine it is that night (that is the night we really don't want them to be there) Anyone know?

Mara

We'll be there February 4th - 11th. It's our first February visit and our first stay at the Wilderness Lodge!

February feels like the perfect time for a Disney Vacation, I must say,,, that as much as I'd love to complain about it still being 76 days out, the truth of the matter is the time has been FLYING by.... Of course everything seems to speed up around the Holidays. :santa: February should be here in no time! I'm sooo looking forward to staying at CSR and I hope it lives up to my expectations....

SEE YOU ALL REAL SOON! :thumbsup2

Booked a trip tonight to visit WDW 2/10-2/18! :cheer2:

This will be the first trip my husband, myself, and our almost 8 year old daughter have made since Marathon Weekend of 2008! This will be DD's 5th trip since she was 2 and it will be a first for our son who just turned 2! I am thrilled to have my MIL and FIL joining us, as well!

Needless to say, I am super excited. I decided to keep the trip a secret from my daughter and will only be telling her on the morning that I have to wake her up at 4:30 am to leave for the airport! It makes me all giddy to think about what an incredible surprise it will be for her. It's going to be so hard for me to keep my mouth shut, though!

We are staying at Pop Century for 8 nights. Can't wait to continue planning!
