Thanks. The 17th is our last day at WDW. I'm hoping that maybe there will be a "soft opening" before, but as we have PH, we can go to MK and check it out that last day.

That will be great if it opens, I will be heading on the 27th-1st!

Getting closer!!!! ADRs made and trip paid off, but starting to worry a bit about crowds. We are going 2/16-2/28. I expect crowds around President's Day, but just realized the Princess Half Marathon is going on the second weekend we are there. How much dos the marathon affect crowds? Should we avoid Epcot and MK Saturday and Sunday?

Same question as the post above. Epcot is listed as a "Best Park" (2.5 crowd level) on Sunday, February 26 by Touring Plans, even though the half marathon starts and ends in the park on that day. On the same day, MK is also listed as a "Best Park" with a crowd level of 3.3. I usually rely on Touring Plans and their recommendations, but they don't mention the marathon at all in their discussion about that particular day or weekend. Does that mean (generally) that such an event doesn't affect the park crowds? I read that an estimated 13,000 people participated in the event last year, so if they and their family/fans are staying in either of the parks where the event is held (Epcot and MK) after the event, I would assume it would be best to avoid both parks even though TP says otherwise. Yikes - which suggestion to follow - TP or my own common sense? Does anyone who has experienced this weekend event have any suggestions?

We just finally made the absolute FINAL decision to go in February for my son's 8th birthday. It is a surprise trip and we are staying at the POLY! haven't stayed there since 2005...and we can't wait!

Working on ADRs now! Trying to guess a bday dinner is hard work!

OP I have a question for you, I know it's a lot of work to keep all of this updated, but am hoping you like this idea!!
I saw another thread in the countdown forum, where they have also made a list with everyone's ADRs.
Do you think that could be a possibility for this thread?
There are so many people that have participated in your thread and I thought it would be such an awesome idea if we all listed where we'll be eating each day, and who knows, some of us may be at the same restaurants at the same time, would be so nice to actually meet DISers!!

I have a slight change in plans, I had to do some ADR swapping because the parks I had originally planned to visit on certain days are now listed as parks to avoid.

Feb 16th cancel brkfst at Hollywood & Vine - Add lunch at Crystal Palace @ 1215pm
Feb 17th cancel brkfst at Crystal Palace - Add brkfst at Hollywood & Vine @ 805am.

I'm a little bummed because I really wanted to be inside MK at 8am on the 17th with it opening at 9, it's a great opportunity to take pictures without the big crowd, but HS looks like a better choice as far as crowds for that day.

What is Mickey Mail? And when should I expect to get it? (We're arriving February 9th).

Mickey mail is your travel packet. You will receive an envelope with luggage tags, some vouchers and your ME info and yellow bag tags if you chose to use ME.
It usually arrives 3 weeks prior to your travel date.

I'm so bummed right now -- I am new at this whole Disney World thing so I did my best booking ADRs and was very happy with what I selected, but somehow I missed how wonderful 'Ohana dinner is...and now I want it!

I want to do 'Ohana's on Feb 11 for dinner but all I've found over the last 2+ weeks is a 9:30pm dinner! Way too late for me! Waaaah!

Just wanted to say a big hello to my fellow February friends! My family and I arrive February 4th and are staying through the 11th! We'll be staying at Pop for the first time! We've been before, but never stayed at Pop! We are all super excited and hoping for an awesome trip! We also have never been in February, so there's another first!
