*The OFFICIAL February 2012 Thread!*

February 26 - March 2 (woohoo for the 24 hr Leap day) at Pop.

We are surprising our DS with his first trip!

We just booked this week beacuse my DH likes to drag his feet and TBH he's been super busy.

Haven't made any ADRs, yet, but probably won't make more than a few beacuse we're fly by the seat of your pants types on vacation.

I am very excited to be there for the 24 hour day. The latest I have ever been in MK is 2 a.m. I am not sure we'll be there for the whole day (DS is only 3.5) but that will be the night we watch Wishes, I am sure.

The days just seem to be dragging. Aren't we in February yet?:sad2:

44 more days to go until we'll be screaming on TOT and I finally get to try a Grey Goose Slushie!! :dance3: :yay: :yay:

I didn't make a lot of ADR's this time as we have in years past. Since the kids are older now and all about the rides we didn't want to be tied down to specific dinner times. I remember when my dd was celebrating her 5th birthday in Disney World and dh and I woke up at 4:45 a.m. months ahead of our vacation to land breakfast reservations at Cinderella's Castle to celebrate her birthday. We got them and it was wonderful to see her surrounded by all the princesses. Our son enjoyed it too. ;) :cutie:

2/25 - 6:30 p.m. Captain's Grille, our arrival night
2/27 - 6:20 p.m. Via Napoli, can't wait for Illuminations
2/29 - 8:30 a.m. Captain's Grille
3/2 - 8:50 a.m. Captain's Grille

34 more days until Disney!!!:goodvibes

I've been on a very strict diet since the beginning of the new year. I went gluten/sugar/dairy free 2 years ago by choice, but the last few months I've gone off the plan and I've put on some weight and can't fit into my clothes as comfortably. I refuse to buy new clothes, so dieting was my only solution.
I've been sitting on the DIS all day looking at food porn from previous trips.
We'll be on the DDP and it's way more food than we normally eat, but it's free!
I've spent hours looking at desserts and buffets!! Hope I can drop a few lbs so that the Disney weight gain will still allow me into my clothes!!!

Am I the only one who fantasizes about the food??:guilty:

Last year I made several trips to Boulangerie Patisserie at Epcot, I had a little buffet of pastries in our hotel room. LOL
I had never heard of Karmell Kuche until I joined the DIS, after seeing the pictures, it will definitely be on my radar!! :goodvibes

Anyone know which is the best park to be in for Valentine's Day? We didn't get the hopper ticket so we are trying to plan the best park to be in that day.

Are they specialty events, shows, or extra character interactions on Valentine's Day at any of the parks that are just "Can't Miss"? :confused3

We are taking 6 year old DD so we weren't planning any "romantic" dinners or anything like that but still want to find a nice way to spend the day.

Really wanting to find (Jolly Holiday Version) Mary Poppins and Bert together any tips?:confused3

Touring Plans says the best park to be in for Vday is MK. Park to avoid is EPCOT.

Hi All!
Heading down on 2/17 for a week of R&R Disney Style at the Happiest Place on Earth- who's with me?? :dance3:
Have DD 15, DD 12.5 and DS 8- anyone at the Poly now? :confused3

:rainbow:I got my Mickey Mail today!!!:rainbow:

Actually, it didn't look nearly as exciting as I had pictured in my mind...but it was still a nice excitement booster! Only 30 more days! party:

If possible, we're getting more excited about the trip each day! Paid off our package on Tuesday and then tonight, decided to add the regular DDP. It just made sense for us with the 4 character meals we have planned. Plus they added T-Rex to the 2012 DDP! :yay: Great for us!

Here's our ADRs:

Feb 27th: Garden Grill @ 6:35pm
Feb 28th: T-Rex @ 6pm
Feb 29th: Hollywood & Vine @ 10:10am
Mar 2nd: Crystal Palace @ 8:20am
Mar 2nd: Chef Mickey's @ 5pm

I know the last two I listed are in March, but I just couldn't leave them off the list!

Stinker, I had not heard that about T-Rex... How exciting... I'll have to remember that next time!

Ok, I am so excited i don't know what to do with myself LOL :rotfl2:

We are just waiting around for Jan. to go, go, go! I ordered new clothes, a brand new dress for our anniversary at Victoria and Alberts, and then DH surprised me again! We are going back twice in the same month!!! :rotfl:

Since they are doing the whole leap year thing on Feb 29 and my birthday is so-very-close to that date (seriously, so close), he asked me if I wanted to go to WDW and try and stay at MK for 24 hours straight just for fun. :cool1: That man knows me better than he thinks .

So we are on for the end of Feb for a long weekend at Pop. My boss was so sweet, he said I should def. go and have fun since he wishes he could come too. I can't believe he approved my leave time when I was gonna be out for a bit under a week already at the beginning of the month, but I have been working overtime for a couple of months now, so he figured it was a nice reward since we don't get bonuses and stuff. :yay:

Came back from being away on interviews for a week and mickey mail has arrived :)
We only made a couple ADRs since we are not doing the DDP this time. We will likely share a meal most of the time and bring some snacks to save some money.
2/5 - Boma 8am
2/5 - Kona 7pm
May add on a couple extra if they are available while we are there, but I like a lot of CS meals too, so wouldn't mind either way.:goodvibes

20 days for us!!!

Some new things I have for the trip:

Shoes - new pair of Crocs. I'm excited because they are Crocs (read, comfy!) but they don't look like them, and they have a heel, which will be nice to work out my calves and because I'm short! (these, in case you're curious http://www.shoebuy.com/crocs-lavender/383621),

more shoes - I also have new Toms for the trip for me and DD - These for me: http://www.toms.com/youth/youth/blue-facade-youth-classics and these for DD: http://www.toms.com/youth/youth/purple-heart-damask-youth-classics
She LOVES her current Toms, so she'll be super excited to get a new (bigger)pair! AND they're both styled after It's a Small World!!! ;-)

park bag - I got a new bag to wear on the trip/in the parks. The one I wore for our last trip was just bigger than I wanted it to be, which meant that I had to take it off each time we sat down for a ride or show. I hemmed and hawed about which bag to get and read a TON of stuff about which ones people liked, and I was going to order one online, but it's so hard to buy stuff like that online. Then I saw this one at Target, and it met all my needs, so I just bought it! http://www.target.com/p/Swiss-Gear-Shoulder-Bag-Sling-Grey/-/A-13273307#reviews-and-ratings I think it was only $20 in the store, but it even fits my Kindle, so I'll be using it on the plane as well. (Sorry normal, everyday Seatbelt Bag... You're not coming to Florida with me!) It even has a place for my Bobble! (water bottle, which I've been using at work and have read on DIS that it makes even Florida water taste normal.)

That's it for now. Going to start packing this weekend, I hope. (paperwork, travel sized stuff, OTC meds.)

:goodvibes SO excited! And DD STILL has no clue!!! SO excited to surprise her!!!!!!

I have been searching for a pair of jeans that fits perfect without any alterations and finally found that pair! So now I'm all set to go! Thankfully, the weather cooperated on our Dec trip and I was fine wearing shorts or capris. This is just a quick surprise for the family 2 nighter. No countdown calendar this time. ADRs are made for 1 meal a day.

What is the Mickey Mail? This is our first trip, so I don't know what to expect. I got my Magical Express stuff already but haven't gotten anything else from Disney. Is it because I didn't book a package and went room-only?

You only get Mickey Mail when you book a package, since it contains your commerative luggage tag and coupons that you get as part of the package deal. So, if you did room-only you won't get those things.
