that sucks 'btmrr' will be closed in deb. We just booked a 4 night cruise on the Disney Dream leaving Feb 19 I believe. We will be celebrating DWs b-day on the cruise so that should be fun. Now we will plan the rest of our trip around this cruise....getting excited now, the wheels are in motion.

My family will be there Feb. 16-25, right before and during president's week.
This is when my family always goes, during every even year. We've never been at any other time of year! But that will hopefully change soon.

Hopefully we can keep this thread thriving til our trips finally arrive!

As you visit regularly at the same time, I'm Interested to hear your experiences on crowd levels for Presidents week because I've been told that it's one of the busiest weeks of the year?

We usually go in the summer but we're taking 2 trips in 2012, so we were a little worried about the crowds as we have an autistic child.

I'm in! We have a long weekend (surprise) trip Feb 10-13th... and I'm super excited!

I am also super bummed that BTMR will be closed, but at least we got to ride it a few times last month while we were there.

Hello, I've responded a couple times on the disability thread about how we handle the crowds. President's Day week will be busy. If you've traveled in July, it would be comparable to those crowds, but certainly not as humid or hot, possibly it could even be cold if a front comes through.

The main area of concern would be character meet and greets. They can get long and crowded. On Main ST. Mickey and the princeses now have fast passes, use them!!

We had the most problems with our child with ASD at the Rapunzel M&G and Phinneas and Ferb and Fairies. The wait was extremely long. The cm suggested dh take ds into a store until I moved further up in line.

Oh the glee, the joy! The excitement! The AP rates beckoned and we decided to take the plunge and went ahead and booked the CL at GF from 2/3 to 2/8

We had pretty much set our minds to go back to AKL to celebrate our anniversary, but I couldn't find CL rooms available and the rates for GF were just too good to pass up. Our very first time at a monorail resort! Yay!

We just can't resist the AP rates.

We are going 2/10 - 2/14...resort unknown. Depends on Plane ticket prices, the cheaper we get them, the better the resort. My son wants WL or Poly, but he'd like to just be there, so it could be POP, WL, or Poly!

We just can't decide yet! Oh and it is a SURPRISE to him... he won't know till his bday (2/10!)

Just booked for 2/13-2/17 at Port Orleans Riverside. This is our first trip in the mods and first free dining trip. It will be myself, my mom, dd 5, dd 1. I am making it a surprise trip for dd 5, going to try and keep it from her until the day we leave. Already booked some ADRs too - dinner at Ohana & Akershus, lunch at Crystal Palace, and breakfast at Chef Mickey's and Tusker House. We are also signed up for the YES program for Feb 14th - How Things Move. I am buying YES hoppers and saving my 2 day package tickets for a future trip or I may sell them to offset the cost of this trip.

I turn 60 4 months from today, and I plan on eating and drinking my way around the countries in Epcot, with my final stop being the Rose and Crown Pub.

As for President's Week, we have been a few times before, most recently in 2009. Yes, it is busy, but if you plan accordingly, and get to the parks at rope drop, and use your FP wisely, it is not all that bad. But if you arrive late and don't have a plan, you won't get done what you want to do.

Crowded, yes...manageable, most definitely !!!

We'll be arriving from Louisiana on February 25th to celebrate our son's 1st Leap Day Birthday at the Magic Kingdom!!! We're also bringing his grandparents and my Aunt & Uncle to join in the celebration! We can't wait to celebrate his "first" Birthday with Mickey & Friends! This will be my first trip back in over 25 years and the first trip for my husband AND his parents! I have a feeling it won't be our last.

If anyone hears anything about special things going on for the "leap day babies" be sure to give a shout out!

Well..... I was in the March thread, but now I'm in the February thread.... 7 nights at the CSR, first time CSR'er and first time FREE DINING... yum, yum, yum. Due to making ADR's 116 days out, we didn't get ALL the dining reservations we wanted, but we did get most of them.
