Is there a February thread yet for car rentals? We're going 2/2-2/9 and I'd like to find out which code combos everyone is using. ~:)~

I was about to ask the same thing, I thought I saw one before but can't seem to find it. We are going 2/13-2/20, still haven't booked airline tickets but plan to this week and then reserve a car!

I am looking for a minivan for the week of 2/5 - 2/13. The cheapest I can find for the rental is $400.

I do have a dollar rental for a lock low n go for $200.00.

Waiting for better deals. :goodvibes

Hi there, I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out. Might be travelling to Disney in Feb. and have the following problem: I would like to go from Orlando airport to Disney for 5 days then rent a car (from disney car care centre) do some travel outside of disney then drop off the car at disney car care the day we fly out. Does anyone know if Disney offers transportation from the car care centre to the orlando airport? We won't be staying in Disney the night before we leave so I'm not sure what our options are for transportation back to the airport. If anyone can help out I would really appreciate your advice. Also, I have checked into returning our car to the airport, it's just too expensive.

Thanks!

Wow $200 for a minivan, the best I've found is through Enterprise, offsite, with a 5% off coupon and it's still $453. I am going during a peak time so that probably doesn't help.

Anyone have any codes they are using that they can share?

Why don't you drop the car off at the airport instead. We've done that and it didn't make any difference in the price of the rental. It will make it easier to get you and your luggage to the airport.

Thinking of Priceline - I just pricelined a pre cruise hotel in Port Canaveral for $49 a night - so I'm pretty psyched...wondering if the car rental would be as successful?!

That Lock Low N Go quote for $200 isn't for a minivan LL&G - which I think is now called Luck of the Draw - guarantees at least a mid-size car but you may possibly get a larger vehicle. I think that that PP was saying that she wanted a minivan but had found nothing lower than $400 so she'd reserved the smaller vehicle at the $200 rate.

With Dollar try corporate code OI1054 (Orange County Convention Center code) that anyone can use. It usually produces rates that are much lower than the full published rates without a code.

That's Correct.

It's actually a whole lot cheaper to get 2 midsize cars at $175 from 2/5-2/12 then it is for the Minivan. Now I need to add a car seat on so my search continues. I can't find car seat info anywhere on the dollar site...

In case you are interested in minivan you can use corporate id 1660221168 with Thrifty and total is $415.36. It belongs to property management company in building I work in and no ID is required. Have used it several times in the past.

So far the best rate I've found is through national. Full Size using Car and Driver code and a coupon for 1 free day. With taxes it comes out to $361.59 for 2/13-2/21

My parents using the same code/coupon got a rate of $293.68 for 2/17-2/24

I reserved a couple of weeks back thru Alamo with a rate of $ 628.00 taxes i. this was a better deal than the previous Thrifty at $748.00. Went on tonight and clicked on the hot deals and got a pre pay rate of $376.00 all included. Couldn't pass this up so I took this one. One thing I have got from this site is to keep checking back for the better rate and then lock in when you get one you are satisfied with.:cool1::cool1:

BTW My original price back in September was $1200.00

I thought Enterprise was now on-site, right next to Alamo. It was last May. Are they still there?

Sure wish Alamo would come out with some new "deals" for those of us not picking up until February. Right now all that works with our dates 2/2 - 2/9 is the free upgrade, and even with the Walmart codes, that price isn't too impressive. Right now I've booked a compact at Dollar (hoping for a Caliber which is not at all compact size) for $159.10.

We just reserved a minivan for 8 days starting Feb. 17 for $371.94 @ Budget! Cheapest we have found! This is for Tampa though.

Promo code: BCD X797726

I called Budget to make sure it is a legit code. It is a corporate ID and coupon needed.

People on Flyertalk also report using Coporate Code X474200 and Coupon Code MUGZ029 for $30.00 off. Total is 313.59 including coupon discount which is deducted on checkout. All you need to do is sign up for Fastbreak with Budget and all you do is show driver's licence on way out after picking up car.
