I'm super excited to run this with my family. Any idea/rumors on when registration will open? Anyone have a picture of the clues from last year?

Hello,

Thinking of doing the Expedition. How much was the registration for last race? Adult price.

Thanks

Quick question. We are thinking of doing this but we are a family of 3. Would it be better to register as 3 individuals or 1 team and 1 individual?

I registered while I was at the Tinkerbell Half Expo so I got a slight discount. It was $89.96 including the active.com fees, so I'm thinking maybe I got it for $85 and the regular price was $90. That was also during the "early" registration period. The longer you wait to register, the higher the price.

If you want to run together, you'll have a better chance of being placed in the same corral by signing up as individuals. In past years, Disney has had individuals in the first corral, followed by male teams, co-ed teams, then female teams. (I hope I got the team order right.)

I remember one year zipping by the clue distribution table and forgetting to pick up my first clue! Got to the entrance of Animal Kingdom and had to go all the way back...lesson learned, study the course logistics first.

I emailed runDIsney several days ago asking when registration information would be posted. I just got a reply saying that they are in the process of updating the website now and registration will open in December.

Not sure if "now" means today or sometime this week, or it's on the to-do list, but hopefully it means soon! I just hate not having my room booked already so I can start planning. :hyper:

I completely agree. December seems late for registration to open to me, but I guess I'm just comparing it to the Princess registration. Thanks for sharing the info!

Also, thanks to LUVMYGRLJB for posting the clue pictures. I feel a little better about my ability to solve them now. Thanks!!

They actually look harder than I expected! :lmao:

I am trying to convince my dh to run with me, not looking good so far though! :rotfl:

We are thinking of bringing my daughter to this one,so my husband tells me, oh good, ill register as an individual and do a better time. I'm like heck no! He's the one who got the clues for us!!! He can't leave me!!! LOL

This sounds like so much fun...If I can't find anyone to run as a team with me, is it worth the money to do by myself and just have DH at the finish? I am a new runner so this would be my first Disney Race.

Someone posted on the WDW Mom's Panel that it was likely that registration for Expedition Everest would be in "late fall" and she said, she suspected not until December... Seems like it should be at least more than 180 days before the race, maybe I just got spoiled by the early Princess registration...

Count me in! It will be my first Run Disney race - I'm excited! :)

I ran a few 5Ks in high school and am running one this Saturday (first time since high school).

EDIT: After learning about the registration fee =/, I think I might not do this as well, like others.

Hello!

I'm so excited to do this race with my mom & sister! We can't wait!

Loved your Race report lol, hopefully the clues are a bit easy for this year coming up

By the way anybody know the discounts from last year, resort pluse tickets?
Last year there was a registration option that included a 1 day park ticket. I seem to remember that we saved about $40 going that route. I can't remember if that savings was PP or total.

There were also room discounts. We stayed in AKL and the room was discounted to $275.

DS and I are going to do this again this year. We're hoping to get in the top 10 in the men's team division. Based on last years time we'll need to drop about 3 minutes.

I think you are right. They had the afternoon pass and the full day pass if I recall correctly. I hope you get in the top 10! That course was far too crowded to be worried about time when we finally started.

Could anyone provide me with an average cost of how much this event would be if we spend the weekend in a value resort? Maybe the very basic of park tickets...feel free to private message me if you want.

I'm drawn to be able to be in AK that late at night...and I'm Trying to decide if this race would be worth it money wise just to have that experience.
