I can’t believe after 13 or 14 nominations, Diane Warren has never won an Oscar.

Most of the stars asked seem to be rooting for Everything Everywhere All At Once for the win.

I wonder if it is the kiss of death???

I sure hope not.

I heard the Academy changed the rules about 8 years ago. In order to bring in more diversity, and not just have the old fogie, predominately male, and white males doing the majority of the voting, the Academy has now limited voting to the members who've actually WORKED in the past 10 years. Everyone else gets Emeritus status and all the other perks that the Oscars gives.

It may bring a freshness to voting, as those before CGI special effects might not have voted for anything "modern" and different.
