I'm so out of touch. I've never heard of 80+% of the movies, TV shows, or actors nominated. Maybe that's a good thing.

At least I'm familiar with most of the presenters.

It's been a great year for tv. All the subscription/cable channels are really producing quality work. I don't know about kids movies, but there were a lot of great movies out this year and some I can't wait to see soon! Seriously all five of the best tv show moms were quality work.

Hopefully not. In the past, the Golden Globes has always had a couple young, "Miss Golden Globes," who were second generation actresses, up and coming in Hollywood, had out the awards. Kate Hudson, I think was a Miss Golden Globes one year.

This year, due to the women's empowerment movement, I read the HFP have changed "Miss Golden Globes" to being an "ambassador" now and are giving them more to do than just stand in the background and pass out the awards.

I think they are spinning it that she was discriminated against and not taken seriously as an athlete due to her "poor" background. Nancy fit the bill for "typical graceful skater" and Tonya was portrayed as a smoking, tough, trailer park girl. I heard them talking briefly on The View about it. I am interested in seeing the movie now.

Well, it is true there was a large disparity between her and skaters like Kerrigan. She actually practiced at an ice rink at a mall in Portland. Her mom was abusive. She had a tough life. It definitely doesn't excuse what she did though. I'd like to see the movie too.
