The OFFICIAL December 2014 - Christmas Magic

Planning is almost done! Just need two more FPs for our part of five for SDMT (we only have three, can't strand two kids can I?) and I will stop, I swear!

We leave 33 days from today! PORR Saturday-Monday, then WBC Tuesday-Sunday. Can't wait to check in on Saturday...they have no idea where we are staying. Booked a 9pm carriage ride for them to enjoy in their jammies.

Sunday MK until 330 then back to resort, head to EMH at DHS
Monday Epcot and breakfast at Akershus, then AK
Tuesday relax at WBC
Wednesday Epcot, then fireworks at MK
Thursday MK, dd's birthday breakfast at CP, Pixie dust updo at Harmony Barber Shop, resort dinner...Epcot illuminations
Friday DHS and Epcot
Saturday relax at WBC and perhaps a little resort hopping

So, so excited!!

I'm also trying to decide whether or not we want to do the Candlelight Processional Package. Part of me REALLY wants to, but I don't think DH would like it very much if it's too religious. Maybe we'll just eat our way around the world and catch the storytellers instead.
You could try checking youtube to see if there is a video. I am not a religious person at all, but I still enjoyed the Processional very much.

Hello Everyone!!

Our trip has been booked since March but now that we are paid in full, I feel more comfortable joining the group! :rotfl:

We will be staying at POP December 16-24. This is our 5th trip in 3 years. Our 3rd time going in December and our first time staying at Pop! One of the reasons we love going at this time of year is because of our daughters birthday on December 21st!! She turned 3 on our first trip, turned 5 on our trip last December, and this year she will be turning 6 at Disney!! She's a lucky girl!! :cake: princess: ( we haven't been brave enough to face the crowds and the FL heat for our son's birthday in July, but we are planning on taking our first trip to Disneyland for his birthday in 2015!!)

We pretty much got everything we wanted for FP+, just a few things we wished had earlier times, but we are happy enough that we were able to get them at all!!

I wasn't able to get dinner ressies for BOG but I keep checking! I would definitely settle for a lunch FP though, just waiting to reach the 27 day mark for the day we want the lunch for! :surfweb:

I didn't read through all the pages of this thread so if anyone else is staying within the same dates, say Hi!!

Also, Is there a Facebook group by any chance??

That's awesome!!

We will be at CSR 20-26. Enjoy!
The CP is a hallelujah mass choir and a narration of Luke 2, so I'd say it's pretty religious. We love it though! So beautiful!

I just added an extra day to our trip, so it looks like we will be doing the CP. Hubby loves Christmas, so I know he will enjoy at least the music portion of it. Of our 5 days, at least 2.5 of them will be at Epcot.

Just got my ME confirmation today and I'm embarrassingly excited. Our trip is December 10-13, staying in CSR. It's our first trip during the winter holiday season and I am sooooo excited to see the decorations. Christmas is already my favorite holiday and WDW is my favorite vacation spot so my anticipation is intense. Also, my wife was recovering from mono and related illnesses on our last trip and had to use a ECV scooter. She's really excited to be able to walk around on her own at WDW for the first time since our honeymoon. :yay:

I'm working my way through this thread, getting ideas of magical stuff to do during our trip. Really excited about the Epcot storytellers right now!!

Eeeep: sounds like an excellent trip!

We are also going to Epcot for storytellers on Christmas Day :thumbsup2

I am so excited about our trip. We got ADRs and FP+s mostly what we wanted and have the ultimate Christmas Eve planned at MK.

Merry Christmas to us all who are going to WDW for the holidays. :cheer2:

There is a FB group. It's called: "Magical Disney Christmas 2014" :wave2:

That is so awesome. Every CM I speak to gets SO excited that this will be our first time at Disney during Christmas. They all say the same thing "there's nothing like it". :santa:

It's our first Christmas at WDW also. Been many many many times, and even December when we've seen some holiday decor and storytellers; but we will actually be at WDW on Christmas Day. Woooohooooo!!! I am seriously excited and know it will be magical and special family memory.

other side of the coin:
I'm a little freaked out about the park times changing and wish we would get a heads-up to change FP+ times to take advantage of earlier openings - if/when that happens...
Oooooh, I have an idea - rather than change opening time, just make morning EMH into two hours rather than one. That would be fantastic for me and really encourage on-site stays for Disney! (...and they should adjust dining times if they adjust park times, but this is another area where "nobody asked me" :p)

I just had to share that I was just able to get a dinner BOG reservation at 4:45p on 12/2 before MVMCP!! I am so excited for my family to experience this restaurant!!

I just got one for the 22nd at 6:50pm! It wasn't a planned MK day for us but it is now!! Now I'm scurrying around to change some of our FP's! I'm so excited though! Must be a lot of cancellations happening with the final payment dates lurking around.

LOL Right?! Nobody ever asks us anything!

Which park will you at on Christms Day?? We are doing Epcot!

Epcot - we have enjoyed holiday storytellers before in early December and it just seems like the best fit for us on Christmas Day. I've read that it's second crowded to MK and why would anyone volunteer for crowded if it's not MK, but it really is where we want to spend our Christmas Day.
...because you know I'm all about that place, 'bout that place, no coasters... :p

Our Christmas trip in 2012 we spent Christmas Day at EPCOT. It was really manageable early. WS was nuts that night!

Oh, duh! You mentioned you were going to be at Epcot in a previous post! lol, sorry I'm completely unobservant sometimes. I hope it's not too bad. I really chose the park for the CP. What better way to spend Christmas Day than to hear about the story of Christmas? I hope DD5 will enjoy it. Plus, Princess Storybook Dining is a must! lol

Received our tickets yesterday from Shades of Green and matched us up on MDE :cool1: ...can't actually do any FP+ reservations until 30 days out, but getting pretty excited. This is our first Christmas time trip (13-20 Dec), so we are anticipating all the decorations, the atmosphere, and the MVMCP snow and fireworks! Hope to see you there! :wave2:

So my dad is going to come down to surprise my mom and my girls, I am wondering what do I do about dining reservations? We right now have all tables for 4 but when he comes down we will need tables for 5. I also can't rebook because my moms account and mine are linked so she would be able to see a larger reservation. Any suggestions? :confused3
