The OFFICIAL December 2014 - Christmas Magic

So it's all done! AP's purchased and on MDE. All Adr's in place. Ticket's purchased for MVMCP. Candlelight Processional reservation in place. All FP+'s made. Everything is on MDE. Now... only 54 more days and counting. I've started my Christmas shopping since everything has to be purchased and wrapped before I go away.

48 days to go:goodvibes

My sister & I have been anticipating getting an e-mail for a FP lunch at BOG.
We will be there Dec. 9-20, but we haven't received anything yet. Do only certain people get these e-mails? :confused3

I think I will go over to the Restaurant forum and post the same question.

I think it's still only available to book 26 days out from the day you want it. The emails are totally random. I received one email in my last four trips, but I have logged in myself and booked it numerous times without an email. :goodvibes

Be keeping an eye out for you around POR. Maybe at Yee Haw Bob. I'm starting to come down with something. So I was in a clicking mood at work today. I just found something that we will DEFINITELY be looking out for. Rusty Cutlass' Christmas songs during MVMCP. Seen HERE .

Awesome link! I have been wondering if Yee Haw Bob did something for the holidays. We will definitely be setting up camp at the River Roost on the 11th and would love to bump into a DISer!

Here's a link to the FAQ thread. It should answer all your questions. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3310867

OMG!!!! I just got Be Our Guest for dinner on Christmas Day!!! I've been randomly checking and boom! There it was! :cool1::banana:

Congratulations!! I got my Ohana ressie last night and was so excited I forgot I was supposed to meet my boss for dinner. (was at a conference with her). 10 mins later she calls me and I race down to meet her trying to explain why I am jumping with joy over a dinner reservation 2 months away.

Hello! We will be traveling to WDW with my fiancé's family December 26-January 1. We are going to be in Hollywood Studios for New Years Eve. This will be our second of two days at HS on the trip and so I was hoping to get advice on what the latest time we should shoot for in terms of entering HS was? I would really love to do MK in the morning (at rope drop) and then head over to HS around 12 or 1. What do you guys think? (We are staying onsite and most of our group has annual passes).

Does anyone have any thoughts regarding my prior post? Basically just looking for advice on how likely a full closure is at Hollywood Studios on December 31. I know Magic Kingdom is much more likely to go to full closure, just wondering if anyone has seen it happen before noonish on New Years Eve? Thanks in advance!

I have not been there over Christmas/New Years before but I did just search and from what I read the 2 parks most likely to close are HS and MK. If you arrive in the morning then you will be able to stay in the park. The closure only affects you if you are trying to arrive once the park has hit maximum capacity. Hope that helps!

Booked all of the fast Passes from our x-mas trip. So this will be our 7 time going to WDW. But first time going during xmas. For those that are experienced going on the 25th, what are the chances for us going to MK at night? Reason I ask is because we have plans to resort hop that day, and we have Fps booked that night. Is it really unlikely for a party of 5 to get in MK at 6pm on the 25th of december? lol :santa:

No personal experience, but from everything I've read, your chances of getting in MK after lunch are really low.

Reading everything I can as i will be there Dec 27&28. Most reports say if parks close, they typically close about 11am/12pm and usually reopen by 5pm. Christmas Day itself would make me a little nervous though - more research?

Can I join in the fun?

Hubby received an award from work and it included an all expense paid trip for 2 for 3 nights. He picked Disney. It will be our first trip without the kids (the kids are NOT amused). We're staying at CSR from Dec 18-21. We could have stayed at GF or Poly, but we would not have had any spending money.. By staying at CSR, we get Deluxe Dining, tickets to the Christmas Party and a nice little spending allowance (about $500). The travel agent finalized our bookings this past Wednesday.

I'm trying not to schedule too much into this trip, it will be more for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere than commando park touring. I am constantly checking for ADR's... I've got most of them, although I'm hoping to find some better breakfast times at CP & 1900 on our last 2 days. I'm also trying to decide whether or not we want to do the Candlelight Processional Package. Part of me REALLY wants to, but I don't think DH would like it very much if it's too religious. Maybe we'll just eat our way around the world and catch the storytellers instead.

Super awesome splurge trip!

That's awesome!!

We will be at CSR 20-26. Enjoy!
The CP is a hallelujah mass choir and a narration of Luke 2, so I'd say it's pretty religious. We love it though! So beautiful!

I have the same concern. We will get to MK on 12/25 at opening, but have ADRs for Christmas dinner at 1900PF. Then we plan to head back to MK around 7:30-8:00 and even have FPs to see A&E that evening. I'm scared we won't get back in though. There are 6 of us and we will be staying at a Disney resort. :guilty:
