The OFFICIAL December 2014 - Christmas Magic

Someone asked earlier about a facebook DIS group for December 2014. There is a group called "Magical Disney Christmas 2014" if anyone wants to come join us there. There are already 200 people in that group!

Cant wait!! Going Dec 6th - 13th with my husband, Sisterinlaw and Brotherinlaw. None of us have been at Christmas and I'm thrilled to be seeing the all the Christmas lights, trees, etc.

Planning on booking within the next few weeks but have a question for some of you "seasoned" DISers. This is the first time I've made reservations through Disney (all have been staying off site or with the Swan and Dolphin for meetings). If I book now and a deal comes out for December (ie free dining plan or room discount) how to do I go about getting those discounts? Do I just contact Disney to amend my reservation?

Thanks much!

You are going the exact same dates as we are! :) Disney at Christmas is wonderful, you are going to love it!

As for your question, you can definitely call Disney if a discount comes out after you book to add a discount. I know that sometimes Disney sells out of the discounted rooms at certain resorts, so I would call pretty quickly after I hear of a discount being released.

Also, feel free to join our Disney December 2014 Facebook group! I think we're a little more active over there! :hyper:

Fantastic!!! Would love to stay in GF. Maybe one day when we go for a short trip as a special get away. 270 days ....... oh my.....now you have me scared! I'm really starting to get all excited about planning. So many things I want to do this time, especially with it being Christmas, that I actually started a bucket list.

We stayed at POR for the first time in October. The resort is SO beautiful. We were in one of the mansion rooms but I walked all over the resort, mostly in the early morning (I have anxiety and generally wake up needing to "get out" for a breather). I have the most gorgeous picture of the sunrise over Ol Man River. Simply great. We also rented a surrey bike with the kids one afternoon. Not gonna lie, it was serious work, but really fun!

ETA: I found that picture:

We will be staying at AoA from 12/1-12/6.

This will be my first trip to Disney at Christmas! (I spent about six hours at MK in early December last year, but that wasn't much.) I have so much to learn about MVMCP... the Candelight Processional at EPCOT... and everything else... so there will be a learning curve for me. Can't wait to see everything decorated & sparkling! I'm so excited!

Planning solo trip 11/30-12/5. First ever trip. Can't wait. Gave heard and read so much about Disney at Christmas

Can I join? Just came back from a fantastic trip last week. Already looking forward to the next one. We have never been to WDW in December - we usually go in November. But, wanting all three of our kids to be able to go with us we think the best week for it will be 12/13-20. We are booked for a split stay at AKV and BWV.

I am a newb and I'm planning a trip to Disney for the first time. We plan on going Dec 13-20th! I sent a FB request, I hope thats ok! I need to learn everything I can so we can get the best deal!:wave2:

Booked in January for our December trip! Can't come fast enough DH, DD and I will be staying at CBR December 6 and Depart on December 14th. Last christmas Disney trip was in 2006 it was DD and DH"S first Disney trip and we had a great time. 2010 and 2013 were September trips and mnsshp events. My DD really doesnt remember the Christmas time trip, she was only 4 almost five and since this December she will become a teenager we wanted to make it extra special for her and what better way then seeing and doing all the holiday activities in WDW!:cool1::santa:

We plan on visiting Fort Wilderness to do the carriage ride to see all the camp sites decked out for Christmas and to do Mickeys Backyard BBQ{my DD"s choice I wanted Hoop DE Doo Revue)

Joining in on the Dec.2014 fun. We are going from Dec.11-14. We will be celebrating our DD's golden birthday on the 12th and we are going to "try" and surprise the kids with it....and its gonna be tough. Started a PTR a couple days ago and is in my sig....would love to hear from some other Dec bound Disers.

Dreaming of December 6th and being in WDW at the Magic Kingdom with the castle ahead of us all lit up!!!:cool1:

SO EXCITED! We arrive 11/29 through 12/6 @ BLT. First trip as DVC'ers. I think I could spend the majority of my days reading, planning and dreaming about Disney :santa:

We have a 7 yr old son and a 2 yr old daughter, so we don't go too hard, and take an afternoon break at the hotel each day.

I would LOVE to hear everyone's plans thus far! So far, here's what I have planned (just a bare bones schedule for now):

11/29 Travel Day, Chef Mickeys dinner, MK evening
11/30: MK morning, Epcot late afternoon
12/1: My son's 8th birthday! MK, Be Our Guest, MVMCP
12/2: My 38th birthday! MK, CRT early breakfast
12/3: HS afternoon into evening
12/4: AK for a few hours in the am (my MIL will be with and really wants to see the Lion King), MK afternoon, Hoop de Doo dinner
12/5: MK, Chef Mickeys
