Yeah, I guess the 4/3 deal wouldn't be too shabby either. I'm not sure which would save me more money, I do know we would have to switch our resorts all to CBR and give up my night at CR but I could live with it. We are only planning on going for 6 nights, but I guess we would probably add on that last night and just take an early flight out instead of a late one the day before. Or, since we are military, if the extend the 40% off rooms offer, I'd be happy with that too. Pretty much anything to make it cheaper!

Thats not the Dec dates.
It was released for Dec in July sometime last year I beleive.I know I got a PIN for free dining early July and then a week or so later it was made available for the public.

For us I wish we knew if the 40% off would be extended past October 2... probably will make other plans before they announce it and then we wont go...

I may be wrong, but i think all they did was extend it from the Oct ending date but blacked out Halloween week. I do recommend that if you plan on going in Dec. and want to stay on the value prop and some moderates, make sure you book it by the end of Sept. They block all bookings cause of Pop Warner week the beginning of the month. I always book a room in mid-Aug just in case like last year the add FD, etc. If not, then I can cancel my ressie by thanksgiving week w/o penalty.

10/11–11/23/10 and 11/28-12/16-2010. I was already booked in a Deluxe resort, so I was happy to receive this code. I do not if this will help anyone with planning their vacation, but I thought it would be nice to let others know that it is likely going to be discounts in December. I

We received that pin code back in March. I was alaready booked GV CL at the Poly, but all rooms at that a pin code could be applied too were taken. So we were able to upgrade to a TPV CL and add two nights for the same price we were originally going to pay.

Help me understand- We're debating an early Dec trip, but are seriously hoping for either a PIN code (I only got summer ones today... arg.) or hoping they extend the military rates out past October.

But what I need help with- should we go ahead and book, and then can we cancel or add on the pins/promos as they come out? What are the cancellation policies again? What's the best way to work this?

I'm in the same boat as Shih-Tsu. Got a pin code in email today as a matter of fact, but can't use it. Travel must be completed by Oct, and it was for 35% off a deluxe villa. Guess where we are staying?? SSR (a deluxe villa) the second week of December! Keeping fingers crossed for a pin we can actually use. Sniff Sniff.. It would make a HUGE difference in price for us!!!

Congrats on getting a pin code. The last time I got one was way back on 2002. We went in the summer, then received it and booked that Xmas. I haven't received one since. It's probably because I go every year, so why bother to give me the code. Give it to the peeps who do not. I always hope that one day I'll get one.

Okay guys, I'm really on the fence here...

From reading the posts and from what I can recall I know they offered a discount of some sort late Nov-early Dec last year. I really, really, really, really want to go the week after Thanksgiving. This will be our first Christmas time trip to WDW and I am way excited, it is also my 2 oldest DS's B-Days this week as well. I also really want to do MVMCP for the first time. I also really want to stay at POR for the first time.

I've tried all the tricks listed here of how to try to get a PIN, but no luck. I don't care if it's a PIN for resort % off, FD or the 4/3-any discount would greatly help.

I'm debating with myself-should I go ahead and book our plans and make the $200 down payment, and purchase our MVMCP tickets? I know the MVMCP tickets are non-refundable, and I was planning on purchasing them for Nov 30 (I'm hoping this date isn't a busy one-so I would think the tickets would be plentiful-so maybe I should wait on this part?) But, I could go ahead and book our package and I could always get my deposit back or credited if it's within the proper timing window. I also want to make ADR's online for just a couple of places.

I'm afraid if I book I will kill any/all chances of getting a PIN, but I do have a DVisa so if they offer/extend FD that would help.

It sounds like quite a few of you are like me and are riding the fence. Why o why does WDW have to play with our emotions like this? I just know that if there isn't any type of discount grumpy (grown-up) DH will put the kibosh on my plans and make us stay (gasp) offsite or worse not go at all. (Of course what he doesn't know won't hurt him-but, I prefer to be as honest as possible).

So my question is, since we usually go in the fall which I will miss this year, wtih the deals they have going on, how crowded is it the week between Christmas and New Years? TIA!

Not sure if you were joking or not, but the week between Christmas and New Year's is the single busiest week of the entire year at WDW. The parks are known to close before lunch time because they are at capacity. It is also the most expensive week of the entire year and WDW doesn't really give discounts for that week because the resorts usually sell out too.

Nope wasn't joking, like I said we have gone every year and usually go in the fall but can't this year, but after reading about that week after I posted I realized that is a good time for people to go. OH well guess we can either go with it or figure something else out. Thanks.
