The Official Dec. 2010 Code Watch

Checking in... party of 2 arriving on Dec. 1st and departing Dec. 7th. Undecided on actual Resort, however narrowed down to AKL or WL.

That's why I said "I beg to differ a lil bit".....lol I still do not see the crowds at Pop compared to the others mentioned though. I being involved in one of the largest Pop Warner leagues in the country, get to see it 1st hand. They close MGM at 6pm and re-open it for all of Pop Warner for their nite. The rides are opened and food is free at most places as well as a few buffet places set up.

We've gone all different times of the year, so crowds do not bother us. It's the rudeness. When we go to a park, we stay the day. We've been there so many times and seen everything, so we set a nice pace, relax and take in the sites, people, etc.

I may be going Dec. 10th-13th (my b-day is the 14th!).

However, I think I can only swing it (and convince DBF) if a pin or discount comes out.

We would stay at All-Star Movies or Music.

Aaaargh! After much deliberation between airlines/airports I had finally made my decision on what/when/where to fly and decided to go a day earlier -- so I called to add a day to my CR MK view and I can't because it was booked with a bounceback and that day seems to be sold out of the category! So I have a couple options -- I can book the room without the discount at a rate of $495 :scared1:, wait for a general public discount to come out and book the room for one night, or stay somewhere else on Disney property that first night. Tell me your thoughts on the situation...

My thought would be to spend 1/4 of that $495 and just get a Value room for one night. Its just 1 night! Just my 2 cents!

i agree with the PP, i'd get a room at one of the values for the night..as long as your youngest will still be 2 during your trip you can all stay in 1 room.

Yep, she will turn 3 while we are there so we would be able to get a value room. Will they transfer my luggage for me?

Add us to the list! :santa:

We'll be staying at Pop from December 11-16th!! We stayed here during this timeframe last year and had an excellent time!

I saw that DVISA is offering free dining up until October 2nd currently. Last year free dining opened up for up until December 17 in late July. I'm hoping that they do that again this year! I really need the discount!! I did get a 20/30/40 pin the other day by doing a new itinerary, so I'm grateful for that, but free dining would really be more helpul. I figure it would save us over $300 over the discount that I have now.

We hope to be there about the same time. Keep in mind while waiting for the disocunts though, that REGULAR free dining has not even been announced yet, and it's a month past when they announced it last year. They instead announced another round of summer discounts. SO don't be surprised to see the fall/winter discounts announced later than last year.

Free dining for Disney Visa holders is avavilbe now for fall. I hope they do it again for this winter too. That will be the deal breaker for DH to decide to go or not.

Now that the MVMCP dates have been released, has anybody bought their tickets? If I had any thoughts about attending, they are now gone as there are no advanced purchase/reduced price tickets available for the time we are there.

Where did you find the dates? TIA

I, too, am praying that they will extend the free dining into December......or at least some discount. At this point I really don't care what it is, just something that will save a couple of bucks, even though we're going either way.

Tickets are sold out? For what dates? I find that very hard to believe. They just started selling them today.

Her intensions of buying early to get a discount are now gone, because there are no advance purchase discounts this year. The tickets are not gone..

Not sure what you mean? There is a discount to prebuy them. The day of the event is alot more.

Only certain dates have a discount if you buy them early. The rest are the same as if you bought them same day at the gate, even IF you buy them early. It kind of ticked me off at first. But now I figure it will keep the crowds down on those dates!

OK! I see it now

So with the partys, is there any certain days of the week (party days) that are more busy? Which day of the week is best to go. If we do go in Dec, DD's b-day is the 10th, which is a Friday. Are Fridays the most crowded?
