The Official Dec. 2010 Code Watch

With staying at a value, normally free dining is a better deal. We are staying at the Poly CL. We originally booked GV CL, but with the 40% we were able to upgrade to CL TPV and add two extra nights for the same as were paying for the original CL GV.

The 40% is off of the room only.

Is there likely to be FD offered beginning of December? If we book before it is announced, it sounds like we can call and still get it added? (If we call right away?)

Do you have to have joined anything? Vacation Club? My adult daughter and I are staying at ASMo 2nd week of Dec. We went two years ago, not members of any club, but we do both have Chase Disney reward cards.

Free dining has gone into Dec before from what I have heard. Though there is no guarantee.

Yes, if you have booked already you can add the pin.

We are Chase Disney card members, but not sure is that is why we got the pin codes. Two days after I requested our maps from the Disney site and saved some information on trips on the site too. We aren't members of the vacation club.

I received a Pin that says "Save 20% at select Disney Resort hotels" and Save 40% at select Disney Resort hotels" but does not say which?

The fine print says: *The number of rooms available at these savings is limited. Minimum length-of-stay requirements may apply for Friday and Saturday arrivals. Savings based on non-discounted price for same room. Additional per-adult charges apply if more than two adults per room in Disney Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts. No group rates or other discounts apply. Excludes suites. Offer is nontransferable.

Has anyone else received this and booked something?

I got this code as well, and just booked POFQ for Dec 11-16 at 20% off my first night and 40% off the rest.

I asked the CM and she said the rates are for ALL the resort levels. The 20% or 40% is based on the dates you select to travel -

20%
For stays most nights:
10/10/10–10/23/10
10/31/10–11/13/10
11/21/10–11/23/10
12/5/10–12/11/10
12/19/10–12/24/10.

40%
For stays most nights:
10/3/10–10/9/10
10/24/10–10/30/10
11/14/10–11/20/10
11/28/10–12/4/10
12/12/10–12/18/10.

Hope this helps!

You received these via e-mail?

yes, in a new email account I just signed up with them the other day. I checked last night and nothing was there, but then this morning there was an email from Disney Destinations! I really want free dining though. I caculated 20% off and it's only like $135 off a weeks stay.

I got the same offer in my email! Of course it came back in April, but it was an email account that I rarely use. A big, fat DUH! to me! So I just discovered it yesterday. We will be going in mid December, like 12/12-12/16, and staying in a deluxe. I guess I was hoping for free dining, which is still an option I know. But I need to do the math to see what is a better deal....40% off room rate, or free dining for 2 adults, 2 kids!

Either way I plan on booking soon using the 40% (probably Contemporary), and then switch to free dining if that works out to be a better deal (if, of course, they offer it!).

Feeling good to at least have A deal....was nervous about booking with NO deal.

My TA told me that the 40% off room rate at the Poly was a better deal than the free dining. There are 2 adults and 2 kids in our party.

I know.... so is this killing you as much as it is me????? I need this to get my trip reserved....... but I've never gotten a PIN code. I've been on and off that site countless times setting up itineraries because everyone SWEARS that will trigger a pin.... but nothing..... I even set up another account under my second email address.......

I can only hope that means it will come out to the general public at some point!

I know this might not make you feel any better but I wanted to throw in a suggestion. I received my first PIN in over a year and I did save a few more itineraries. I also created a new profile with a secondary email however the PIN came to my existing account and email. I did this same thing with my husband and he received the same PIN. Here is what I think worked for us - on the Disney website, go under "Update Profile" right next to your name. I noticed some of our information and preferences were no longer showing so I updated them. I think the ones that made the difference was under "Communication Preference". I re-added Email, Home Address and Home Phone". I then saved the offers and about a week later I got the PIN email on each account.

I know this might be a long shot for you but I thought I would at least offer this to you in case you haven't done this lately? I know I had not and thought, 'hmm...I wonder if this will change anything?' and sure enough it seems it did help! ;)

Good luck! :thumbsup2

OK.... I am officially a guinea pig! I found what you were talking about. All my info was loaded but there was nothing selected for communication preferences.......... Now just to wait..........

THANK YOU!:worship:

What is a "bounceback?"

Bounceback is a discount offer that is available only to current WDW Resort guests and must be booked before you check out.

During our December 2009 Christmas trip I booked a bounceback offer for 40% off the Fort Wilderness cabins for December 2010.

Wow I swear I do the same thing!! Except my girls will be 9, 3 and 2 so its hard because a lot of the custom clothes stop at size 6. I have found a couple on ebay that will make all three sizes though. We will be the best planned people there for sure!

I do this too! We now have 3 girls: 4, 2, and 3 mths., and I like them to either match or coordinate at all costs! Last year, I ordered the 2 girls and their 2 boy cousins each a polo shirt with their favorite Disney character and their names embroidered on the front! They were all too cute! I'm already starting to look for clothes for our upcoming trip in September, but the hard part is that our little one is getting pretty chunky pretty fast, and I'm unsure of what size she will be in. Our middle child skipped her 3 - 6 mth. sizes all together!

I asked the CM and she said the rates are for ALL the resort levels. The 20% or 40% is based on the dates you select to travel

So I could get the 40% off of a value or moderate? I called and the CM said the 20% was for Value and Moderate and the 40% was for Deluxe.

Thanks for your initial response!

From what I understand 20% for the value, 30% for the moderate, and 40% off the deluxe.

The first CM that i spoke to said the same thing, but then when i had her price it out we both realized that the 40% is for ALL resorts on the specified 40% week. The normal cost of POFW for value season week day rate (Dec12) is $149.00 but when I booked the trip the price per night is $89.40, a savings of $59.60 or 40%.

The CM then realized she was wrong, and said that she assumed it was the 20% becuase there hasn't been a deal like this before (with Mods and Value at 40% off).

So I would say call and don't ask specifically about a resort level, have them price out a specific resort and then compare it to the actual rate. The value should be $49.20 a night (weekday) and the mod should be $89.40.
