Merry Christmas, Clay fans!!


God bless Wal-Mart for opening early enough for me to get the cd before work.

And God bless the Oakdale theater for being my venue of dreams in approximately 24 days. I can't wait to hear him sing these songs live...although I warn you all now that I will probably cry. I already did in the car this morning (thank goodness I listened to it before I got to work) - it's a lot of Gram emotion flooding in with the Christmas emotion and the Clay emotion and the...well....just me.

And God bless Clay for....well...being Clay.

I guess I shouldn't admit this, but...

I had my CD last week. Target put it out a little early, and I couldn't resist! I'm going to buy another one this week...and return the other one...LOL...just so it counts toward sales. I'm shameless, I know.

LOVED that the clip from the Christmas show was with Barry and Clay (oh, yeah, and Yolanda, too...lol). The song (Because It's Christmas) is PERFECT for Clay, since he supports children's charities.

I have to wait until tomorrow for my CD. I pre-ordered it from Barnes and Noble. UPS should have it to me by tomorrow. I can't wait to annoy my 13yo DD, who just thinks I am the biggest nut in the world because I like Clay.

you know...i just don't understand something...there's another thread here on the boards about the worst male singers who's singing you dislike or something like that. one person mentioned clay. how can that possibly be? he's got one of the purest and most amazing voices i've heard on pop radio today! he doesn't have to do "vocal gymastics" when he sings...he doesn't sing something that's out of his range...you can understand every note he sings...what's wrong with him?

i wish people would let go of the song Invisible...it annoys me to no end that people hear the song once and deem him a stalker. LISTEN TO THE DANG SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it has NOTHING to do with stalking someone.

i wish everyone would take the time to read his book and to really LISTEN to him sing. he's an inspiration to this generation. well, at least to me anyway...i'm not through with his books yet...but i've developed a newfound respect and admiration for the man. he's truly beautiful...inside and out. i find myself wanting to just hug that precious little boy he talks about when he's reflecting on his past....my heart aches for him and all that he went through. i'm just amazed that he's here, sharing his gift and his story with us. he's such an inspiration to us all!

ok...rant over...don't anyone run to that thread to start a fight with anyone over clay!!! i guess people outside our little clay bubble will never understand...

oh well...at least you all understand! i'm happy to have found a group of people who "get" it!

I just saw on Amazon that Clay is releasing his Christmas special on DVD. It's not available until after it airs, though.

I just got the book and its a GREAT book!! I admit I didn't know what to expect, but its touching, funny and SOOO real!! The CD, what can I say JUST AMAZING!!!!!

The show has not aired yet. There was a little clip of it on Larry king live or something. The actual airing of the special is Dec 8th on NBC I think.

Got my CD from Target yesterday! Listened to it a couple of times already.
I think I heard on Regis today that Clay was going to be on tomorrow? Gotta set the tape since I have to work.

Yes Clay will be on Regis and Kelly tomorrow. I have my VCR all set to tape it.


I am working my way through the Today show right now so I can watch Clay's Segment.

I printed out the list of his up comming TV apperance and I have it by my TV.

clay taped his segment for the early show this morning....it looks like that will be aired monday...

11-18-04 :: ILLNESS FORCES CLAY AIKEN TO POSTPONE FIRST THREE DATES OF CHRISTMAS TOUR; RESCHEDULINGTO BE ANNOUNCED
_ _ Under doctor's orders, Clay Aiken has been forced to postpone thefirst three dates of "The Joyful Noise Tour," originally scheduled to kick off this Sunday, Nov. 21 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
_ _Aiken has vocal cord damage resulting from ongoing ear and sinus infections and is being treated by his doctor. Aiken's condition was aggravated during a trip to New York City to promote his book, "Learning To Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life". The affected dates include performances scheduled in Pasadena, CA on Sunday, Nov.21, Phoenix, AZ on Monday, Nov. 22 and El Cajon, CA. on Tuesday, Nov. 23.
_ _The tour will now officially begin in Costa Mesa, CA. on Friday, Nov. 26. Aiken will perform at the Orange County Performing Arts Center.
_ _Aiken's management is in the process of working to reschedule the dates for Pasadena, Phoenix, and El Cajon. The new dates will be announced by next week. Existing ticket holders will be able to use their tickets for the forthcoming rescheduled dates, or refunds will be available.
_ _Aiken was also scheduled to perform at a gala benefit dinner for his Bubel/Aiken Foundation on Friday, Nov. 19 at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Aiken will still appear at the dinner, but will be unable to perform songs from his current and new RCA album, "Merry Christmas With Love." The album was released on Tuesday, Nov. 16, and the benefit dinner was to feature the first live performance from the CD.
_ _"The Joyful Noise Tour" will feature a conductor and a 30-piece orchestra. In some cities, Aiken will be supported by the local Philharmonic or symphony. His two dates at Atlanta Symphony Hall on Dec. 17 and 18 will include the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Local choirs will also participate in some cities.

I saw him on Regis and Kelly yesterday and he didn't sing but he looked well.

nope...he didn't sing...but he was adorable as usual! just talked about the book, gave kelly a hard time...and that was it!

i haven't picked up my book in the last few days...bad, i know...things have been hectic!! i plan to finish the book over the weekend though!! but it's great so far...made me cry great big crocodile tears when i read a chapter about his sister's suicide...

I love my CD! Did you catch the little switch he made in Sleigh Ride? The line is supposed to be "when they pass around the coffee and the pumpkin pie" and he sings "when they pass around the turkey and the pumpkin pie" Hee!

Geez, now Clay is even getting sick like Barry! Way too scary!

Barry had bronchitis and had to reschedule 3 shows last week - right after taping Clay's Christmas special, in fact...uh-oh, maybe Clay got sick from Barry!!

For those of you lucky enought to be attending his Christmas concert, dress up & bring a toy!

I just read an article. Clay is now the spokesman for the Marine Toy's for Tots toy drive and will be collecting toys at each concert.

It also said that all the workers at the concerts will be dressing up and he hopes the audience will come in their "Sunday Best".

Maybe if you come in an Evening gown, Clay will pull you onstage!

The book is amazing! I read it in an hour and a half. Very open about his childhood and very funny,snarky stuff added.
