The Official Bachelor Thread ~ Deanna comes back!

I hope they do have some Canadian guys in there and hope they show more of Canada would be cool too.

Where Jillian lives (Vancouver area) is SOOO pretty. Kinda like Seattle :rotfl2:

I think Jillian will handle the new season very well, she has a level head. And I think her family will help keep her balanced.

American guys, Canadian guys, let's make sure they're nice guys! No more losers!

How can Chris Harrison go on tv and say its not in the contract? That "past bachelors did it this way"
ummm that's why it IS in the contract - people were so upset Brad picked no one they put in a clause about picking someone -
Bach execs were upset that Shayne was going to keep the engagement ring THEY PUT IN A CLAUSE!

because Jason isnt an actor - he became a puppet and is now thrown under the bus - he didnt use good judgement, but he shouldnt be alone under the bus!

~OT but I so love Ellen! Did anyone see the student Rubina she has on, she brought the mobile Gold Digger for her? That girl is too cute! She reminds me of the bathroom singing girls! So pretty sweet and funny.
It's amazing how Ellen touches so many peoples lives.

Sorry for the ramble ..... Ellen makes my morning.

Chris then went on to say that Charlie had asked for more time and the show gave it to him. I wasn't sure if you caught that or not. I agree the whole thing was just a mess.

In the new People magazine Jason swears "on his son's life" that the entire drama was NOT a set up but real. Now I have to believe him because as a parent I don't think he would say that if it were not true. But it still stinks.

I posted on this thread initially way back - we don't get a chance to watch it until Wednesdays, so I just caught up with all the shows last night. I usually don't read the comments on this thread either because of the "spoilers" for us!

Anyway, it's really too bad that the break-up had to aired on TV. These are real people with real feelings.

I feel bad for all involved.

We had sick child drama that kept me from watching the Bachelor until today.

Having not read any spoilers except for the one about his choosing Melissa that was posted on this thread (and staying off line for some time before the last show), I was shocked. What a jerk!!!! If he and Molly were talking while he was engaged to Melissa, then Molly has just gotten what she deserves - a man who is going to change his mind in a few months. Any person who would dump his fiance on national television and not answer questions from his fiance about that relationship prior to that time, is not someone I would want dating/marrying any of my single friends. I don't care about what the producers wanted or what was in that contract - where there is a will, there is a way and Jason could have been more explicit with Melissa prior to the ATFR1.

I hope the Bachelorette doesn't screw up Jillian. I like her as she is now.

I was reading the message boards on ABC yesterday and read some interesting things. Don't know if these things are true, someone said that Molly had an affair with a married man that ended when his wife found out about it. Her parents hated him, so that's why she would only be involved with a guy they approved of. And Jason and his wife, Hillary, were on the tv show, Cheaters (never heard of it). She, supposedly, discovered him doing some questionable things and told him she thought he had outgrown these actions after completing college. And Michael Fleiss denied that Jason was required in his contract to handle things the way that he did. I think it may have been a requirement to have an ATFR show because today Melissa said she didn't understand why the show was moved to an earlier date. Probably so Jason could have open contact with Molly sooner. You can believe these things or not. Who knows what is true or false. Could just be people spreading rumors.

O M G!!!!! Jason and his ex-wife on Cheaters!!!! That has to be a rumor! lol

I did read an interview with Fleiss that pretty much made it sound like he was not under contract to do that. From what Jason said, he thought he was....I wouldn't put it past the producers to make him think that is what had to happen, even if it didn't have to go down like that.

Its hard to know what is what. I know the contestants sign a lifelong confidentiality agreement. So Jason can't really say or talk about his contract. So did Fleiss through Jason under the bus or is he telling the truth? Who knows....After all this, Im not sure I even care that much LOL!

Wow, if those rumors are true?!?! Cheaters?? "Molly and the Married Man"? (sounds like a tacky sitcom)

Jason used the Ellen show to apologize, kiss Molly and tout "HIS" website for single parents! Yes, he's that shining beacon of hope for single parents to find help :rotfl2: What a great guy!

I just love how people decide they're now "experts". Like the Octomom being an expert on parenting, by virtue of the fact that she keeps knocking out babies. St Jason, the patron saint of single dads.

Also from the ABC message boards, Jason hasn't had a job in over a year. If this is true, I wonder how long Molly will stick around if she has to support him and Ty.

I guess his "job" is to be on reality shows and do the talk circuit.
If Molly is for real....I am beginning to wonder if anybody is from that show...she seems like a career orientated person and I couldn't see her going to work while Jason seeks more media attention.

Why does he make it sound like he is parenting Ty alone? From what I've heard in various places, he and his wife share custody. They are co-parenting, even if they don't live in the same house. For all intents and purposes he has two very involved parents in his life, he is not the sole parent.

Re: patron saint of single dads

Can you imagine being Ty and going to school and all the parents whispering how his dad shopped for his new Mommy on t.v. Plus all the spit swapping (and then some) that Jason did. It's one thing to do that in private but to project that image in the public eye is another. Role model my you-know-what.

Looks like Melissa is going to be on Dancing With The Stars. She'll replace Nancy O'Dell, who had to drop out with an injury.

Interesting. This will be her 3rd reality show -- I guess she can't get enough. My other problem with her doing this is 1. She is not a star and 2. She is a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, so she has a ton of dancing experience. I usually watch DWTS, but this puts me off a little bit.
