*** The Official August 2019 thread ***

Sorry we haven't eaten at any of those places. We are still eating a lot of character meals because dd6 is really into them. So we haven't done any signature dining. I've read a lot of good reviews on all of them though.

Ordered some Disney tees today. Bought dd6 a new Darth Vader themed shirt. She calls him her best bad guy. Also bought her a cute Minnie purple tank. I bought myself a Haunted Mansion halloween themed tee. I was going to get a Zero themed shirt to go with dd6's Jack Skellington dress but I really like the HM shirt better.

I may have asked this already (this thread has really been cranking haha) but where would you guys suggest a nice date night dinner with my wife in the Epcot resort area? We have gone back and forth a million times between Le Cellier, Yachtsman, Shula's and Flying Fish but cant seem to pin one down. Am I making too much of it? Are all 4 really good enough that we cant choose wrong (we have never eaten at any)?
We've only eaten at Le Cellier, but I think the atmosphere in there would be nice for a date night. We love the food too, especially the cheddar cheese soup and the pretzel bread! The steaks are very good and I don't think we've ever actually had any sort of complaint about the place in the many times we've been there. So while I can't offer any advice on which of the 4 you mentioned is the best, I can say that I don't think you'd go wrong with Le Cellier!

I vote YS. The spacing of the tables is best of all you mentioned, making it a bit more "romantic". The others, especially Le Cellier, have tables on top of eachother. Foodwise, tie between YS and Shulas.

We also really enjoy a date night around the world in Epcot - We'll stop and eat little things from quick service places and share them while also enjoying a few drinks. We'll cap it off with a lovely view of Illuminations. I have always enjoyed Epcot with DD8 but when DH and I get a chance to enjoy it ourselves, it takes on such a romantic date experience!

Woke up to news that was disappointing lol USPS sent my magicbands to KS and I'm in NJ. They accidentally got rerouted so won't be getting them today as planned SMH hate the USPS

So a little bit of awesome news vacation wise and shows how Disney just saved me a few hundred bucks on my vacation.

My original stay was going to be what was in my signature, 6 night 7 day trip that I booked with free dining back in January/Feb before the Feb 5th deadline. After the deadline expired (about a month later maybe?) we decided to stay an extra two nights.

So I booked a 2 night stay at CBR with rack rates and added 1 or 2 more tickets to my original set. Then recently I decided to add dining and full price to the 2nd stay (2 nights at CBR) just to make things easier so I called up WDW today and asked to add it in to the reservation. The amazing Cast Member basically took over and went ahead and found that Riverside is allowing me to stay at the first resort my whole stay AND extend the free dining offer pricing to those extra two days.

I basically saved $200.

My ME tags arrived two days ago and we are now down to 19 days until we arrive at WDW! We have been planning this trip for almost two years and now we’re down to just a few weeks until we go. Lots of things happening before we leave, including my oldest taking her first actuarial exam(🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻). Hoping we have her passing to celebrate along with my other daughter’s senior year.

I ADORE Flying Fish. So nice! That would be my pick!

Ugh! That's so frustration. Recently I ordered something that went from Idaho to Washington state and sat there for a few days and then went back to Idaho. I'm in Alabama. There was no reason for it to go to Washington. I've also had something go from the sorting office in Birmingham Alabama to Killen Alabama (which is less than 15 minutes from my town), the went back to Birmingham before coming back to my town's post office. That added on a couple of days before I received it. It's so annoying.

Dicks Sporting Goods have the Frogg Togg minis for $1.99 and regular for $3.99. Much better than the prices I found on Amazon.

That's a great price! Is this in store? I looked online and they were more. I just bought some on Amazon but I'd be willing to return them and go to Dick's.

That's awesome! You spoke to the right CM. I tried to add one extra night to my reservation and free dining deal but couldn't get the hook up.

Looks like some hours were updated but not a ton (mostly an extra evening hour at MK and AK for some nights during my week at least). Not sure if they are done updating them yet but a little bummed there aren't more.

I am hoping there are more changes coming. I updated my spredsheet today with some changes but maybe these were changed a couple of weeks ago and I missed them (meaninig there are still more to come).

Just made the final payment on our package. :yay:

So our room, tickets and dining plan are paid for. Plane tickets are also purchased. Going to surprise my mom sometime in the coming days and let her know all she has to come up with is spending money.

I am having an issue though. Went in to finalize the magic bands. When I reviewed the order all was good; but when I completed the order on the next screen names were switched around. Mine had my mom's name next to guest. My daughter's had my name in the guest spot. My mom's had my son's name and my son's had my daughter's name. I tried switching the colors so that each person got their color and again it looked fine on the review screen and switched it up again on the confirmation screen. It wouldn't be a big deal we could just switch them up; as I'm ordering skins to go on them anyway; but we have one person under 10 (my son) so he has child tickets and dining.

I'm sure that was clear as mud. Anyone else have this issue?

ETA: I was finally able to switch the colors and "engraved" names around to the point where the guest name matched the color and engraved name. Hopefully that solves the issue. Still I think I'm going to wait to put the skins on until we get there if at all.
