I'm pretty excited and want to share. At my mom's birthday party today the daughter of her lifelong best friend, a woman who I consider an unofficial cousin, mentioned that she's bringing her son to WDW from August 4-8. We're there from July 29-August 6, so we overlap. Time to synch those schedules and expand those ADRs! (By the way, my daughters and her son LOVE each other!)

Does anyone here fly with a C-PAP? Just curious if the resort gift shops have distilled water for purchase so we do't have to worry about packing that and worry about it leaking.

My husband does and he's used filtered bottle water when he can't find distilled.

I think you made a really great call. Homecomin' is my family's favorite restaurant on property! If you're a southern homestyle comfort food fiend like we are, you're going to have the best time there. The southern "vibe" is warm and welcoming without being over the top, the service is great, and of course: the food is among the best we've ever had at Disney. Here's my review of our Nov. 2018 visit, and here are some photos of what we ate:

Fast Pass Day this morning... We are a group of 5. Didn't try for SDD since we booked an EMM. got FOP on 60+3 in the evening. no availability on 60+2. Everything else was pretty easy. got SDMT on the first night. All in all, it went as I had planned!

Hello! New to the group - we are going August 13th - 20th and staying at Wilderness Lodge.

I haven't been to Disney World in 24 years (when I was 10) and am SO excited - my parents are taking myself, my two daughters (ages 8 and 9) and my sister as a retirement present (even though really it should be us gifting them something, haha).

Awesome reverse present! Your girls are perfect ages for the trip too! Wilderness Lodge is amazing. You will all have a wonderful time Im sure. Im counting the hours until our trip.... unfortunately the clock is going ttttttiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccckkkkkkkk tttttooooooooooooccccccccccckkkkkk. I need it to speed up!

Whhhaaaaatttt? Thats so coincidental! I grew up in Framingham. Moved to Marlborough after I got married, 28 years ago, then to Sudbury 15 years ago. Next move........the Cape (in about 15 years, with a vacation home in Orlando )

FP day today. I was unable to get FOP or SDD on any day up to 60+5. There was some late times available for SDD at 60+6 but we're heading home that day. Pretty much everything else had availability. I'll keep trying to modify for FOP and SDD, otherwise we'll rope drop or go late in the day. If crowd levels stay as low as currently predicted, I won't worry. Our countdown chain is getting short!

I was also unable to get FOP or SDD. My daughter and I were planning to be early for rope drop anyway. I guess we'll just bond with the morning crowd.

I feel the same way - My last day of school is on Wednesday so summer is just starting! but I just can't wait to get to WDW even though when we return I start school again in two days!

I do the same thing, starting with Disney only items. I always pack up the park backpack so we won't have to deal with it when we arrive. The first thing into the bag are the ponchos.
