*** The Official August 2016 Thread! ***

My fellow over planners I need some advice,

I have my FP booked but with the different Tiers I am confused. So at Epcot I have a FP for Test Track and for Spaceship Earth. Do I need to book a use a thirds FP before I will be able to do Same Day FP for any other Tier 1 rides? I could book one and either let it expires or use it even if there isn't a line but I am confused and over reading everything SORRY

My take is...if you are staying at Epcot, you need to use or let expire all 3 fast passes(1 tier1 and 2 tier 2) before trying for another tier 1. If you are park hopping, you can pick after your tier 1

Thank you. That is how I read it too. i booked some more today and now have 3 per day for Epcot and DHS. I booked them earlier so if we do miss them it isn't a big deal.

I got Mickey mail today too. Magical express tags came in. Not sure if we will use the luggage service because we land around 8pm and I would like to unpack and get to sleep early for our 8 am park opening

So surprised to see so many new trips to be added when I came back. I'm 6 days away from leaving for France with 50 teenagers, so my WDW planning has been on a backburner for a little while!

We will be there July 30 - August 7 for my 40th birthday. We are traveling with a group of our friends, all adults. I can't wait!
Do you have accomodation to go on the list? :)

Epcot's Living with the Land is now tier 2. We always like to ride it once each trip, but are not willing to use a FP+ tier 1 to ride it. We've always found standby times reasonable with LWTL, but now with FP+ tier 2, I will try to add it for one day of our trip. Just wanted to let August Disers know in case they are interested in adding it.

THANK YOU! I love LWTL, and but like you suspect the standby times might go up now it's tier 2. Going to change one of mine now! :D

I am not going until the end of August 26-Sept 3 but would be interested if the dates work.

If you read my post saying those dates wouldn't work, please disregard -- Thom sent me more info and I think it would work. Please send me a PM.

Just tying up loose ends. Ordered BOG lunch, printed out the papers for the condo, the boys made plans for a 4 park hop on our last Disney day, planned taking our time on check out of the condo day to hit some last minute shopping before heading to the coast for some beach time and KSC the next day before heading north

We just added a night to our trip. Seeing check out day is always a bit hectic(double checking all the rooms) making Kennedy by 9 is rough so we added one night at over by UNI the 25th. Now I'm thinking about going to Kennedy as a day trip while we're still at the condo or just adding in some shopping time and go to Kennedy on our way home as originally planned. Best problem that needs to be solved ever! Best thing is we don't have to decide until we're down there!

Getting so excited... our MB have shipped and we already got the decals for them... our new shirts are on their way... got the last bit of gift cards we needed from Target... started buying snacks for the plane... did our Garden Grocer order and working on our Amazon Pantry order... new headbands are on their way... just ordered our in-room cake to celebrate DD5's pre-k graduation (any reason to order a cake!) ... working on our packing list... 27 days to go!!!!

26 days! Can't wait for my 4 day trip :) I havent been middle of summer in years so im not so ready for the heat (though right now in NYC we are dealing with record highs so im sure ill live), but im excited regardless! Hot disney is better than no disney!

We go every August (we are from Southern Ontario, Canada and have similar temps as you) and it is HOT in Disney, but ITA. Hot in Disney is better than no Disney ::yes::::yes::::yes:: We have been at Christmas before, and as beautiful as it was, the crowds were overwhelming. We would take hot over huge crowds any day. Hope all you August Disers have fun and stay cool:drinking1
