I'm kind of bummed that some booths will not be opening until October 1. I get it, because crowds will be significantly higher around the 50th, but it is kind of a bummer.

Oh well, the price we pay for smaller crowds!

Bummer. I had just convinced my wife that we would go to see Orchestra and Starship if they played this fall.

Yeah I feel like that is pretty crazy! Maybe it's to make people visit multiple times too? I haven't read through everything but I really hope the F&W special events are happening!

Sure would be nice if they figure out what they are going to do! are they doing any of the classes? tastings? anything special? I'm still going to be at DW no matter what but I LOVE food and wine and would love to do some of the special offerings. Don't they open next month?

Well that just stinks. I go to Epcot for the Eat to the Beat concerts. I may need to redo my dates to get away from October 1st. I already cancelled my room before hearing this to stay at Universal instead since Disney is way to expensive now.

Any chance some of those opening on Oct. 1st open slightly earlier? ( And yes this is me being sad that I wont be able to eat at Brazil....our local Brazilian restaurant closed due to the pandemic and my family and I miss it....and lets be real no one can resist pao de queo).
You can find the pao de queijo in your local supermarket freezer. 😅

We'll be there at the end of it so I'm hoping they have some thing good! we'll be there from October 21 - November 7. Party for the senses would be AMAZING!

I was also originally planning on going in July, but so many of the ones I would want to check out aren't opening until October 1!

No word on any of those yet. Hoping they will be back by fall.
When F&W opens in July, may be too soon to have those events going.

Why pay a nationally know artist or band when you can get local acts to play free. Disney is really losing it's luster for me. The penny pinching and total focus on profit would make Walt cringe.

Yeah so far I just see a post saying the space is reserved for that info lol. Fingers crossed!

Disney parks missed out on billions of dollars of revenue in the past 15 months or so. I think that would make Walt cringe.

Certainly, the value at the parks isn't going to be there for a lot of people for the foreseeable future. But I'm sure Disney will still find a way to draw in the crowds willing to pay more for less. I'm eager to visit WDW again, and will do so for short stays in Aug and Sep (mainly because I have expiring DVC points). I'm not expecting things to be the way they used to be, though. Maybe they never will be the same, but I'm willing to keep coming back for a few years to see how things develop.
