*** The Official 2014 - DLR -July Thread ***(We All Have Been There & Back Home)

We did the F! dining in May and it was totally worth it in my book. We had a light dinner at Cafe Orleans and I completely balked at the idea of having to line up at a podium to get assigned a seat that I had already paid for, so we did not line up. We enjoyed ourselves and showed up at the reserved area about 15 minutes before the start of the show. There are no bad seats in the dining package area, IMO. I had my DD27 and my DGD6 with me, and we sat in the back row with a wonderful view and munched on the yummy treats. I told my DGD she might need to sit up on her knees, but there really was no need. She saw the entire show perfectly while seated on her little bottom. Some people wait over an hour in line to get their seat assignments. I didn't want to waste that time and it all worked out fine. The box of snacks they give you is way too much food for one person... fruits, cheeses, crackers, little dessert cakes, and the beverages are unlimited. Plus, if you watch the first showing, you can remain in your chair and watch the fireworks too. You miss the displays that happen at the front of the castle but it's still a pretty good view. We even saw TinkerBell and Dumbo flying over. :)

Thanks! And it's great to see another fellow Fort Worthian on this thread!

WOW - What a small world we live in... There is another Texas from the Dallas area on this thread and a 1 Dallas & 1 FTW Diser on the July 2014 Disneyworld Thread.

I live in the Trinity River Area off of River Park Road.

My family has decided on a last minute Disneyland trip. My DH, myself and my children DD (13) and DS (7). We will be driving down from N. Cali on the 19th. Staying at the Beverly Garland and going to Universal Studios on the 20th and 21st. Heading to the Candy Cane on the evening of the 21st. Probably DL on the 22nd, and CA on the 24th and hopping back and forth on the 23rd. Haven't seen Fantasmic in years so trying to do that as well as World of Color. We'll see how that goes since I'm usually nodding off at home by 9:00 pm. LOL

Man - I've spent the past hour or so scrolling through the last 40 pages of the food thread ... I want to eat all of it! Or at least now I know that I need to bring stretchy dresses and my eatin' pants! :rotfl2:

What is everyone else packing for their park days?

Day 3 has come to end. Parks were more crowded but wait times still under 40 minutes for most attractions!. Mid 80's again, and upper 60's tonight, a light sweater was needed. Spent several hours at the pool, just relaxing. They had a CM at the pool gates checking everyones keys. Breakfast at Jolly Hoilday, lunch at Carnation and dinner at Riverbelle. Need to get to sleep as we have a breakfast ressie for Minnie and Me in the morning. Good night all!

Have a super Magical time.....

Great day yesterday. We were surprised that the parks were more crowded yesterday on a Monday than we found them on Sunday. 82 degrees felt much hotter here than at home :confused3

Enjoyed early entry at DCA and then about noon went to the crowded DL. Today is early entry at DL. Our sons plan to ride Star Tours and Space Mountain until the park opens for regular guests.

Sounds like a lot of fun..... wishing we were there already.. it was very close to 100 degrees yesterday here in Fort Worth Texas. Looking forward to pleasant weather in California.

We are very ready for our trip! Daughter did not win a national title at her pageant over the weekend, but did get a high sprain in her ankle from talent. The stage was not friendly for dancers, especially ballet en pointe! Hopefully she will make it okay in the parks, but we her doctor said we may have to get a wheelchair if her pain is too bad. I really hope we don't have to resort to that, though!

Printed boarding passes and airport transfer paperwork this morning. Most things are packed, but still trying to decide which bag to carry in the parks. We head to Dallas this afternoon and fly out at 6:00 am tomorrow. Will be in California by 10:00!
