I'm not sure we can top this trip. Last night after Fantasmic, my man proposed!! Disneyland will hold a special place in my heart forever!!

Checked in (and upgraded!) for my flight to LAX tomorrow! I won't be at DLR until Thursday, but I'm super excited to beat the heat here in TX and get to see L.A. and Santa Monica!!

Guess I'll go update my PTR/TR with my final (for now!) plans!!

Santa Monica - wish we were going again..

So excited! We're staying at the Le Meridien Delfina, just three blocks back from the Pier. This time tomorrow, I'll be having a cocktail before dinner on the beach!

Safe travels! We arrive in Anaheim on Thursday as well and will be in DLR Friday for our first day. If you see a group of 7 with red, black, and white Mickey tie dyes on Friday, that's probably us (4 young boys, my mom, Dad, and I). Say Hi if you see us!

I'm pretty much ready to go. I packed myself yesterday and my sister's kids today (no thanks to her, lol). I have to work tomorrow then I'm off for 12 days!! I'm getting so excited!! I honestly think I'm more excited than the kids.

Absolutely!! What park are you planning to hit that day? I'm planning to do rope drop til close at DLP, maybe with a little hop during dead time over to do anything I want to do one last time at DCA!

I'm hoping to use the time change to our advantage to be at rope drop at DCA (boys are dying to do Carsland, but we will probably end up hopping at some point.

Oh, I almost forgot to my share my good news with my July friends: a co-worker offered to take me on a free 7 day cruise in Dec (she's a gambler who spends enough to get lots of free trips). I told her I would cover her airfare with my SW points in exchange. And what's even better is that she wants to do a day at Epcot before we sail! So it looks like I'm going to spend 2 nights in WDW at a resort I've never been to; and I'm finally going to get to see WDW decorated for Christmas! I'm more excited about the quick WDW trip that the free cruise, lol. Yay for more Disney!!

Thanks! We are so excited and almost packed. My son was disappointed to find out they don't hand everyone a pair of Mickey Ears when the walk through the gate. It will have to be our first purchase.

4 Days???? WOW, I bet you can't sleep...

Are pool at Extended Stay was not what we have been use too. The water temp. was perfect... We swam only one time at the hotel..

Sorry - not sure about the DLR Hotels if they have heated pools..

Just snagged the HoJo Super Family Rate for half off our Friday night on Aug 1.
For forty bucks less than our Candy Cane Inn rate we were able to get 2 rooms, hopefully connected, to put the teens in

We're back now! We had a good time but the crowds were INSANE! This was my 5th visit to Disneyland and they were by far the worst I've ever seen! Before we left everyone said that they crowds weren't bad at all, I was hoping for the same and it was awful! Oh well.

We spent four days there and did get the #GetHappier Monday surprise! We got to stay at California Adventure from 10:30pm to 11:30pm and ride Screamin, Toy Story Mania, Goofy Sky's School and Silly Symphony Swings for the entire hour unlimited! We had access to all of Paradise Pier! Only 1500 people got to do this and it was great!

Hope everyone had a great time on their trips! It was fun but the crowds were overwhelming! Didn't get to do everything we had planned because of it but oh well!

I saw the thing for the extra hour!! I so wish it would be available next Monday but I doubt they do the same one 2 weeks in a row

WOW!! Sorry about the crowds, I see now we were very fortunate to experience very low crowd levels during our vacation.

Anyway, today seemed calmer than the past few days but not lite by any measure. We have also experienced a lot of major and minor ride breakdowns. Luckily, I know how to navigate the parks well enough as to avoid long waits.

I think all us early July-ers got lucky with wait times, the longest we waited for anything was about 30-35 mins once for Space Mountain (all other times were with FP) and about 30 mins for RSR-SR, other times it was only about 15-20 mins, even quicker with FP. I had read about waits for Matterhorn, TOT etc up to 30 mins early in the day but we only waited 5-10 mins for these before 11am.

I hope it's not too bad for everyone going soon
