*** The Official 2014 - DLR -July Thread ***(We All Have Been There & Back Home)

Question
When you enter a Park, what area and ride do you visit first?
Please share with us all of your past Resort visits.

If going in to Disneyland we head for Fantasyland for MM. Otherwise it is whatever strikes our fancy. The kids are saying Pirates for first ride this year :)
If CA it is the same, whatever strikes our fancy that day. This year we will head for RSR and TSMM :)

Happy Easter Everyone..............

Posting from my mobile phone, so that's why no pic's and large colored fonts.

Sorry Everyone...Have a great day.

Heading for our first trip to DL this JULY !!! So excited :goodvibes ... So we are staying at the DLH for a week and have 5 day park hoppers ... we are there from July 11 - July 18th with one day set aside to head to Six Flags Magic Mountain ( we have SF season passes that are good there from our area ) we also want to head to the beach one day if not for the whole day at least 1/2 a day .. any idea on which day is best to avoid the parks ? We know Saturday is busy but figured that we were right there on site and no lines could be worse then the lines at SF here in NJ LOL ..

I just found this thread, so I'm a little late. We will be heading to Cali from Indiana...arriving 7/19 and leaving 7/28. We're hitting Disney 7/20-7/22, then moving over to San Diego for Comic Con. For the Disney portion, we're staying at the Hojo.

We go to Disney World at least once a year, but Disneyland is a whole new thing for us. I have only been once...in 1997, so a whole lot has changed since California Adventures wasn't even there yet. My fiancé and his son (15) have never been. We are all pretty excited!!

Welcome Hoosiers! We are in Louisville KY, what part of IN are you in?

AnswerSince we have visited Paris once and Tokyo twice, I can only share our WDW experiences.

1. Magic Kingdom – Tomorrowland – Space Mountain
2. Epcot – Land of the Living - Soarin
3. Animal Kingdom – Asia - Expedition Everest
4. Hollywood Studios – Tower of Terror

WDW...

1. MK - We always visit Main St USA first, but Mickey's Philharmagic is usually the first attraction we do (imo the most under-rated attraction in Fantasyland) :wizard:
2. Epcot - Spaceship Earth
3. Hollywood Studios - Tower of Terror
4. Animal Kingdom - Kilimanjaro Safaris

Yes and it has been a Glorious Day..:thumbsup2

Don't know about that man! Darn Easter bunny left me no eggs and no chocolate. I did find however tiny little pellet like pearls all over the lawn. I really don't recommend them, because man they tasted nasty beyond belief!!

We usually hit Tomorrowland first, riding Space or Star Tours and Buzz for my youngest who thinks we really fly into Space on Star Tours ;) (he's been on Star Tours lots of times, but he truly thinks we are in Space. We are currently trying to talk him into it)

We might change things up next trip and head into Frontierland/NOS first. Cannot wait to ride BTMR!

That is so cute :) I love Disney magic :goodvibes

We are headed to DLR for our first family visit this July. We're staying at Paradise Pier - Concierge. Still debating about switching to DLH for the super cute pool.

It's so cute!

Love it! I hope my son experiences magic like that.

It's really cute. Certain things we've had to tell him are not real (yetti in Matterhorn) which breaks my heart, but he loves riding on the ride, so I justify it. We make sure to tell him quietly as to not ruin the magic for others. Plus, I still think he believes everything is real. He's pretty timid compared to my oldest who rode TOT at 3!

Nice! I love PPH! Always wanted to do concierge. Please tell us how it was!! FWIW, I've heard you can rent a cabana at the DLH pool. Not 100% sure as I've read conflicting reports. I would call and see. Also heard they rent quickly, so make sure to call ahead of time. I'm not sure, but I think it's 30 or 60 days out. I would ask about that too when you call. Sorry, I've never done this before but have wondered about trying it when we stay at PPH next.

Perhaps a split stay at PPH and DLH?

I'm kind of sad because my son keeps talking about the characters being actors. I don't know where he got that idea. I'm hoping when he gets there he'll change his mind and the magic will take over.

I noticed I had a chocolate free Easter, too; kids got a lot from grandparents.
Hoping they won't notice some of their candy is missing when they come home from school :)
