What state do you live in? I work for social services in SC and as long as you have given notice to the school that you will be on vacation you should be fine. She is only going to be in the first grade, the teachers and staff will probably be envious.....LOL. We took our boys out of school for a week in March 2012. I talked with the principal and let them know what was going on and why the boys would be out of school. He sent all of the teachers an email and told us to have fun....I think you will be fine.

We live in NC. I think the teachers will be fine with it if I'm up front about everything, but just didn't want to be reprimanded by the school or something! I'm think I'm going to keep our Sept. dates. Thank you for your input!

Where are you going on your cruise and for how long? We need some details!

It is a only 3 night on the dream but my family cannot all take off that much longer from work. It started off just me and the DS and once I told my mom, she said she, my sister, and nephew wanted to go. Then My sisters bf and his daughter wanted to go. Then my grandma and aunt said the wanted to go and 2 of my cousins. Then we finally added my cousin and her family of 5. I a very excited. We all took our first cruise together 18 of us in like 2005 on the carnival and now we are taking our 1st disney cruise together!!! I have been waiting my entire adult life for this!!!!!!!!!!

You know, I am happy to be on this thread and read about all the 2014 Disney visits in addition to my own, but I have been searching for a July specific thread and I have yet to find one. I don't have time to start it and keep it up to date. Here's hoping someone starts one. I love visiting all my subscriptions on here! Keeping me linked to Disney until we go again. Less than a full year to go. This time next year we will be in the "World" !!!

On the off chance that we get to make 2 trips next year I have been pricing out deluxe villas for the fall. But no matter what villa I try and any dates they keep coming back no availability. Any of the regular deluxe hotels have rooms it is just the villas that are not coming up. Is it possible they just haven't released the rooms yet? It seems highly unlikely that all the villas are sold out already.

If they are DVC villas, they may not have availability until 7 - 11 months out, it's the whole points structures, home resort priority and how people trade out DVC for other things like RCI, different collections and DCL... I would keep checking though!

She will be in 1st grade. I know she probably won't miss much, but I have read some stories on here about parents getting letters saying social services would come out because kids had missed more than 2 or 3 days in a row.

I am pulling my boys out in Feb. for a week. I talked to their teachers that they had this past year and principal. they all said it was fine since they never miss school, well besides the usual sicknesses and doc appts. They are getting admin approval so no reporting to social services.

We had a great time, but sooo much walking! I thought I was further along with rehabbing my foot, but nope, not so. I've got a long way to go before I can even think of WDW next year and all the walking we'll be doing there.

I haven't been to Kings Island since high school! Cedar Point was our back up for this week if DH got called into work early. Thankfully he didn't so we're off today
We booked All Star Movies and are hoping for a Toy Story room as that DS's favorite (he gets his big boy room when we get back and said he wants Toy Story - toddler room is in Jake & the Neverland Pirate and Peter Pan right now but Woody wins out!)

Also 2014 is not completely out of the question or me so I will be hanging around. DH mentioned heading down once we find out when he shut down will be next summer And my parents are wanting to go back but couldn't make it this time on such short notice with us.

Today is my ADR date and I was planning to get up super early to be online at 6am. Well ended up in the ER with DS last night from midnight to 3am. He has croup! So ended up going on line at 9am (after some needed sleep) and the stupid thing will not link my reservation. I ended up calling and getting a pre-RD for CRT on my desired day anyway so I'm super happy about that. The other few ADRs I need to make are not so urgent so I'll be making those on line as the system lets me.

Croup is the worst! I hope he feels better soon. I am happy that you were able to get your ADR for CRT. To make my ADR there I was up bright and early on the computer making the ADR and on the phone with the BBB making an appointment all at the same time. Now all I have left is the dessert party but I have a few months until then . Hope your DS feels better soon

I had a major giggle, as Item 10, the picture they used is my son and his friends from a couple of years ago. My kiddo is the one in the back right with the glasses. Course he is 21 so not really a kiddo.

Back to our regularly scheduled program..

The Last day is may 4th. We are going to Nassau, Bahamas and castaway!!!! We went to Nassau once before so I may only get off the shop on castaway key! I am just ready to get on that boat.
So it is April 27th- May 1st at the CR and May 1st - May 4th on the disney dream.
