~*~The OFFICIAL 2014 Dates Thread - Come Join Us!~*~

We're sticking with the month of May but doing a split-stay!

Dates: May 8-16 -- 4 nights in AOA Nemo Suite / 4 nights in 2 rooms at POR

Everybody's happy with the resorts -- hubby is going to his reunion weekend alone and meet up with us when we switch to POR -- and we get 8 vacation days!! Woot!!! :cool1:

Glad you got it worked out!! Sounds like a great trip!!

222 days left!!! That means something to me because my birthday is 2-22 so I always look for that number. :goodvibes So in honor of that, I decided to organize my 2012 trip pictures and get them in an album. :thumbsup2. I told DH a benefit to staying at Pop again would be I already have pictures of everything there. 110 to be exact. :rotfl2:

Yay! I just printed my 2012 pics too! I printed out way too many. I need an entire wall, however I managed to frame only 12 in a collage, along with another 12 from NC :).

Thats good to know about POP I will have to see if we can stay there then. For dates I am hoping for the 8th to the 15th. My girls will be in school by then and hopefully settled in so we can go away. I also want to go when crowds are low and I know Sept. is good with that. :) Hopefully being on this thread will help keep me motivated!

I will get you added to the September list! :goodvibes September is good with low crowds - have you ever been that time of year before?

Add me to the 2014 list!! My family and I just got back from our "first family" Disney trip (June 12-19) and I can't wait to book our next one! We'll be going May 21-29, 2014 and hoping to stay at BLT!!! Can't wait to book in the next week or so...:cool1:

Hello, and :welcome: to the 2014 group! :goodvibes I'll get you added to the list for May.

:yay:Just book AoA LM room over Presidents Week 2014!:yay:

Hi there! What are your actual dates so I can get you added to the list?

My kids and I are going April 3-11 2014. As of right now, I am planning to stay off property, but I am going to do some price comparison once the packages are released :surfweb: We will be celebrating my kids' first trip and my DD's birthday!

:welcome: Glad you decided to join us! I'll add you to the April list and put you down for offsite - once you decide where you're staying, just post an update. :goodvibes

If any of you have questions, don't hesitate to ask!

110 pics of POP? Care to share some here? :teeth:

Never been there in Sept. I have been in Dec and Feb, I want to be able to go to MNSSHP because I have gone to MVMCP and I love it. My parents have gone in Sept and they say the crowds are great, so I am already excited!:goodvibes Thanks for adding me to the list!

You will absolutely love the parade & fireworks during MNSSHP. ::yes:: Are you planning to do costumes? :teeth:

The crowds are low that time of year, but you should be prepared for the heat and humidity. :scared: Make sure you drink a LOT of water (you can get free cups at any CS location that has fountain drinks). Get there early and try to take a break mid-day if possible, or duck into a store and get cooled off whenever possible.

So now I'm tossing around the idea of a split stay....

Thinking of POP for first half and possibly Wilderness Lodge for the 2nd. I'm such a creature of habit I'm afraid of trying a new resort and not liking it...ridiculous I know! :lmao:

This is the problem with having so much time to plan...too much room to keep changing my mind! :rotfl2:

We just got back from WDW on May 19th so now we are planning our next Disney trip .. to Disneyland in California !
We did DL just one time and really loved it, so now we want to go back and finish up the stuff we ran out of time for.
We plan on going the first week of October in 2014 ! It's the perfect time to go because it's Halloween and the Haunted Mansion is all decked out in Nightmare Before Christmas theme .. it really is cool to see !

:offtopic: (But Disney related)

My wonderful DBF, surprised me this morning! We are going to Club 33 for dinner tonight. :scared1: I never thought I would be able to see/eat at Club 33, I am quite beside myself.

Now back to our normal program.

Have a wonderful day everyone!!

So how wonderful was it?

All of the wind has been let out of my planning sails. A few weeks ago DH shocked me by telling me that if I really wanted to rent an RV and camp at Ft. Wilderness we could. It's #1 on my Disney bucket list and he was completely against it before now. I have no idea what changed his mind. I should be jumping for joy but I've really started to fall in love with either the Poly or a Poly/BC split. But I still want to camp. And camping is a lot cheaper. So now I have 2 sets of possible plans for 2 completely different vacations and I can't choose one. I have 9 days to decide, I guess. :confused3

What's not to love about WL? :teeth: What makes you think you wouldn't like it? You never know until you try! :goodvibes

I'd be happy to add you to the October list, though I think everyone on this thread is going to WDW and not DL. You're welcome to join in, however! What are your dates and where are you planning to stay? :goodvibes

It's good to have choices, though, right? :teeth:

If it were me, and camping at FW was my #1 dream, AND my husband were finally on board ... that's what I would do, before he could change his mind. ::yes:: :rotfl:

Think about it - the Poly, the BC ... they will both be there, and who knows if your DH will go for this on a future trip. :scratchin Take advantage of his willingness to do FW while you can, KWIM?

Just my .02 cents worth. :goodvibes

We are not the costume type but maybe I will get a tiara so I can feel like a princess! Thanks for the tip about the weather. I am from northern New England so fall weather here is pretty cool, a few years ago we actually got snow before halloween, my kids trick or treated in their snow boots and winter jackets!

I will make sure that we are prepared for the hot and humid weather. ::yes::
