~*~The OFFICIAL 2014 Dates Thread - Come Join Us!~*~

Yay! I just printed my 2012 pics too! I printed out way too many. I need an entire wall, however I managed to frame only 12 in a collage, along with another 12 from NC :).

Aww man. I know I bought a picture frame last year. Now I have to find it and fill it.

110 pics of POP? Care to share some here? :teeth:

Sadly, I am pretty old school with my printed pictures and photo albums. I did use photobucket last year to post a picture for our Dec 2012 group. I will try and figure it out again. :goodvibes

So now I'm tossing around the idea of a split stay....

Thinking of POP for first half and possibly Wilderness Lodge for the 2nd. I'm such a creature of habit I'm afraid of trying a new resort and not liking it...ridiculous I know! :lmao:

This is the problem with having so much time to plan...too much room to keep changing my mind! :rotfl2:

I am the same way!! Want to try something new, but what if we like it less than Pop?? :confused3

It's July!!! 10 days until 2014 prices & packages are released!!!

:hyper:

That is all.

YAY!!!!! My company is having a huge event on July 9th that I am planning, so I am Really looking forward to July 10th!!!!

So how wonderful was it?

All of the wind has been let out of my planning sails. A few weeks ago DH shocked me by telling me that if I really wanted to rent an RV and camp at Ft. Wilderness we could. It's #1 on my Disney bucket list and he was completely against it before now. I have no idea what changed his mind. I should be jumping for joy but I've really started to fall in love with either the Poly or a Poly/BC split. But I still want to camp. And camping is a lot cheaper. So now I have 2 sets of possible plans for 2 completely different vacations and I can't choose one. I have 9 days to decide, I guess. :confused3

I agree with Bearcatsfan! Hubby is on board with the camping so go that route!! Just think of the money you are saving and use that to book your bounceback for Poly or BC. :thumbsup2

Would appreciate opinions!

Park Hoppers?

Love them? Hate them? Would we use them?

Trying to decide whether or not to add them to our package.

It's good to have choices, though, right? :teeth:

If it were me, and camping at FW was my #1 dream, AND my husband were finally on board ... that's what I would do, before he could change his mind. ::yes:: :rotfl:

Think about it - the Poly, the BC ... they will both be there, and who knows if your DH will go for this on a future trip. :scratchin Take advantage of his willingness to do FW while you can, KWIM?

Just my .02 cents worth. :goodvibes

I think my fear is that February is a long away away and I don't know how long this new found appreciation for camping is going to last. Do I take the risk and book a trip he might end up hating or book the safe choice? I wish I understood where the change came from. He was so, so against it and I haven't even mentioned it in months. He doesn't even know what changed, he just told me it sounds fun now.

Would appreciate opinions!

We decided against them. I can think of a few days they'd be nice but I don't want to pay for them all week when we only need them once or twice.

Love love love them!!!! We are 2 adults so it is easy to change parks. We often start a morning in DHS (for TSMM) and then have dinner in Epcot. We dont spend much time in Epcot, but love to eat there. And we like breaks, so we go to one park in the morning and a different one in the evening. Hoppers are nice if you want to hit the AM EMH and then hop somewhere else when that park gets crowded. Our last day last year we hit 3 parks, still kicking ourselves for not going to AK too. This trip will involve a day with all 4 parks!!!

But with all of that----you dont have to buy them now. You can wait until you decide to hop for the first time and buy it then. No reason to give Disney money for something you might not need. :thumbsup2

What are your chances of not being able to camp if he changes his mind? Could you book camping later on no issues? I would book whatever would be hardest to book - Does that make sense? Then you can give you and your DH time to finalize your thoughts!

I love hopping, I have yet to do a trip where we didn't do it most days. However, like Val said I would wait since you can easily add it WDW.

I found another collage frame! Good thing I printed close to 200 pictures ;) I have to say I loved making the photo book of our trip on mixbook, like scrap booking with out all that glue ;)

We are not the costume type but maybe I will get a tiara so I can feel like a princess! Thanks for the tip about the weather. I am from northern New England so fall weather here is pretty cool, a few years ago we actually got snow before halloween, my kids trick or treated in their snow boots and winter jackets!

I will make sure that we are prepared for the hot and humid weather. ::yes::

You definitely won't need jackets, but do get the tiara! princess: And make sure you take ponchos, too.

Please do! If I can get my Photobucket working again, I'll post some of my pics from FQ.

I personally hate park hoppers. We've had them twice and barely used them. I won't buy them again.

I agree with Val and Sarah - don't buy them yet. Wait until you're there and decide if you really want them.

:scratchin Have you asked him why he changed his mind? Maybe he just wants to do what you want to do. I would ask him what happens if you book and he changes his mind back ... then what? :confused3

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get things worked out and decide. :goodvibes

I love the park hopper but it is only necessary if you are planning to go to 2 different parks in a day. For instance if you want to visit the MK during the day but want to eat at Garden Grill then a park hopper is very useful. But if you are scheduling all your plans to be in one park for an entire day and do not plan to stray from that the the park hopper is not a good deal. It is also good if you do not like a schedule and want to attend any park whenever you want that way you can decide as your vacation goes and not have to plan everything. So it all depends on how you are going to do Disney

Val & Bearcats... Get on it and photobucket some pics for us! I would love seeing them!!

Just chiming in to say that we decided on our official dates, May 3-10 and still staying off site at Windsor Hills.:cool1:

I asked and all he said was it sounds kind of fun so I'm completely lost. I might print off all of my info and spreadsheets and tell him he has between now and the 10th to decide. That way if he picks camping and doesn't like it that's on him. My only fear is that if he sees the split stay info he's going to quickly realize that it's basically a transportation dream and then I'll never get him away from the deluxes.

I did make some progress though tonight, we're 100% for sure taking the stroller. We went to the park for Canada day fireworks and as we were leaving we both realized how much safer and easier it is to leave in the dark, in a crush of people, when at least one kid is contained. She still might not need it during the day but I will have it for Wishes, Fantasmic and Illuminations.

I will try! :goodvibes All my pics disappeared from Photobucket months ago. :confused3 I haven't tried to load any more since that happened. :rotfl2: I figured it was some kind of bad mojo to have them all disappear at once like that! :lmao:

I'll work on it and see if I can get some pics of FQ & SSR reloaded. :teeth:

Hey Missy! :wave2: Thanks for updating with your official dates - I appreciate it! I'll get the list changed. :thumbsup2

What's not to love about WL? :teeth: What makes you think you wouldn't like it? You never know until you try! :goodvibes

I'm used to the containment of POFQ so I fear being far from food court/pool/transportation...:rotfl2: The more I think about it though, being that close to MK would be a great way to end the trip with the girls. I'm going to sort through the WL thread and see what I can expect.

Well, that is kind of a pickle you're in, no?

Again, if it were me and I were in your situation ... your husband has already given the okay for camping ... I would go ahead and book it without hesitation and not worry about it. But that's me. Once my husband gives the okay for something, I do it before he can change his mind.

Photobucket is just moody! I would love to see SSR as well, we've toured a demo unit and I have gone to the spa but not much else!

:rotfl: FQ is pretty small, much smaller than WL ... but think of the benefits of WL! You get that great pool, the proximity to MK, AND you're checking a resort off your bucket list, yes? :teeth:

GO FOR IT! :yay:

Photobucket is a non-DIS-approved word. :teeth: :lmao: I have a lot of pics of SSR, more than POFQ.

I'll see what I can do. :goodvibes
