Ah, that's me too! I've started choosing the things I tell my husband to avoid the teasing If he knew how much research and planning I do I'd never hear the end of it... He does know that planning is a huge part of the fun for me though, so he's happy it makes me happy. And, He's EXTRA happy when I can show him in numbers $ I've saved us by doing advanced planning I also scour the details here, then present my fam with a few choice options I think they'd enjoy as I know the million details of a WDW trip would knock them over! To each their own, eh?

Thank goodness for the DIS, huh? I know here I never have to hear "Disney AGAIN?" accompanied by the requisite eyeroll.

This is my first time posting here. We are planning to take my DD next year sometime in early May. It depends on when my college gets out. We are very excited! I can't decide between POR royal rooms or CBR pirate rooms. She loves them both. So excited!

I can't speak as to what CBR looks like, but POR is a very beautiful resort. When we stayed at POFQ last year, we went over there and walked around a bit - it's very nice and the grounds are gorgeous!

Thank you! I grew up outside of Orlando, but we never had the money to stay on a resort. We would go for one day, eat lunch out of a cooler in the parking lot, and go home at the end of the day. Now that I have a 4 yr old DD, I am getting to experience more of the magic! We stayed at the AoA in the Little Mermaid rooms in January. The resort was great, but it was very popular and got insane sometimes. I hear great things about POR and CBR, and the walking at CBR is a nonissue after staying in those little mermaid rooms!

We were in Gainesville, which is just a couple of hours away. We probably went one day a year (to me as a kid, that was a lot!).

Gotcha. Somehow I missed the "outside of" when I read your other post - all I saw was "Orlando" and thought you grew up right there IN Orlando! My brain obviously isn't working right today.

I know a year seems like a long time to wait, but it will go by quickly, promise! When we get back to WDW, it will be two years between trips for us - that feels like a lifetime to me!

don't I feel like Goofy... I just realized this thread is for 2014 we are going this year after a 2 and a half year break...you may remove my name....sorry.... but I will be back... we will have a couple short trips in 2014 and a week for the Food and Wine Fest

Woo hoo finally got ahold of next years school calendar and have found some time next spring between state testing, concerts, field trips etc.! We are going next May 4th-12th and staying again at POR! I would really like to try WL or the Poly this time but Dh wont go for it...that's OK after skipping a year, Ill take what I can get!

These past few years in the military have not gone well. Good news is, we have 13 months 'til the 20 year mark. I am ready for the next chapter of our lives. Together.

WOOHOO!! Just booked our room!! My daughter and I will be staying at Art of Animation (Little Mermaid) for 13 BEAUTIFUL NIGHTS!!! Our dates are August 5-17, 2014. We've never been there in August, and hope our Northeastern blood can handle the heat! Don't care though, we are going to be in Disney!!

My BIL is currently in the army, stationed in KY.

We are planning on April 11, 2014- April 18, 2014 at either Poly or BCV - we have to go that week because of school break, but very nervous about pre-Easter crowds. Plus there are never specials available that week, so we will expect to pay 30% more... but we will be there regardless!
