Oh no, Coach! That's terrible news. Sending speedy healing vibes your way.
The camber of those roads is HORRID. I remember finishing up the WDW half on that last onramp where the army guy was and it was so damn slanted, I wanted to DIE. I was hoping W&D would skip that part.
W&D does skip the clover leaf section from the WDW Half. Actually, the small section I describe does not feel as bad in the W&D as it does at mile 21.3 of the full.
Mickey handing me my name tag would be pretty awesome though.

to the world of runDisney obsessed Disney Dorks!

No, seriously, I hope no one else (in addition to coach) starts getting knee pain just because I typed that! But I AM having some knee pain. I know it's from the stupid run I did on Wednesday. I'm an idiot.
I can't listen to my own basic rules (1. don't do anything new near race day and 2. don't try to work on speed AND distance in the same week). Stupid me decided to run fast on wednesday after I did what for me was a very challenging 10-mile run on sunday. And now my knees are hurting and I have to decide whether to skip today's short run and move on to this weekend's 6 or try to get the run in today and maybe do 5 on sunday. They were a bit achy on sunday after my run up and down so many hills, then they recovered mostly, until I did speed work on wednesday. Thursday they were SO hurting and today, a little better but still..... It's not an injury, I know that. At least not a new one. But probably an inflamation of my usual bad knees.... I've been icing, rolling, and taking aleve. I'm even wearing my running shoes to work which seems to have helped a lot.
