My sister and I are in for Wine and Dine '13! Our goal this year: Make it through the race without anyone throwing up . . . I suppose it'll be a certain kind of PR. :)

Are you MY sister??? :) we have the same goal. Lol.

No wait. She's my sister. That's my goal too!!!! Apparently we are one big happy 'hope to not throw up' family! :)

Of course we are! That way we can drink wine and eat exotic festival food after running for hours. Lol.... ;)

Lol! I didn't know puking was involved....I guess im not far enough into the training for that!! Drinking, Puking, Running ( from the cops ) ....sounds like 80's :)

I'm in for W&D but it wasn't my first choice. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy W&D and I have done it the last two years but my running friends are doing the Marine Corps Marathon and I really wanted to go with them but the registration process was a mess and I couldn't register before it sold out.

*Note to self*

Wear police costume to encourage fellow racers to keep up their pace.

Lol! I actually married a Deputy Sheriff - so if you need to borrow something for your costume let me know!

<insert sinister laughter here>

(I have quick release ones, but somehow I am not sure TSA will allow me to bring them in my carry on. I would hate to be detained for something like that....)

Lol! Just the laugh I needed today! I have to say, mines a part time cop, full time fire fighter! He makes the kids proud! Now it's my turn, I can't wait to officially say " I'm a half marathoner "

I did my longest training run yesterday, 1 hr 10 min, 5.9 miles. Fairly happy with the pace but I was totally whipped afterwards. Light headed, nauseas, just not a good feeling. Any tips to not have that happen again?

Did you eat anything before you ran? Did you eat anything during your run? Did you drink anything during your run?

Shelley, I second Jean's questions. There probably ARE some things you can do but we need more information first.

On a different subject, I bought our plane tickets today. I guess this is actually happening!!! :)

I seriously don't know if I can keep this is secret from DH for another 5 months, but I am sure going to try.

At least if we get pregnant that can be the distraction topic. ;) Which, its sounds kinda crazy to say this, but I really hope I AM pregnant when I run the Wine & Dine. We've been trying and have had some road blocks and it would just be so great to be successful in the coming months.

Ditto to previous questions: when and what did you eat, water/fluid intake, what did you drink and how often, were you in warm temps, did you take any kind of caffeine supplements, cold medicine, or anything similar just previous to running? Sounds like a food/fluid intake issue. Easily remedied!:p

Did anyone else register through gettravel? I registered with them a week before registration opened, and I still have not gotten a confirmation through active and when I look to see if I'm registered it says I'm not found

Just curious if anyone has booked room-only reservations with a runDisney discount. I have a rate of about $50/night over at the Fairfield on 192 but I'd prefer to be on-site if I can get a room under $100/night. If not, I'll stay off site.
