I'm officially in! Now we just have to figure out the best course of action for park tickets and a place to stay! Can't wait! So excited!

Anyone have any idea where the 'will call window' is? It wouldn't let us ship the party tickets internationally so we picked will call window! Guessing its at the ESPN!!?!?

Yes!!! I saw this- asked TA about it and she said it was just added today as far as she knew. Very cool for those looking for choices! I'm still sticking with BC.

Signed up at opening. DH and I will be on first "no children vacation" since 1999 I think. Yikes! Been too long!

They do have them at ESPN but you can also pick up the tickets at any Guest Relations window at the parks. I picked mine up at AK.

Oh man oh man oh man!!!! Im so excited!! I just cant control this !!!!!! YAYYYYYYY! PLUS!!!! NOVEMBER! IS COLD! PRETTY DARN COLD! Up here in my little Igloo in Canada (no we actually dont have igloo's So the fact that I get to go to FLORIDA! and run my little heart out in the coolest (bahaha I mean Warmest) place ever.. just made me die a little! Holy MOLY IM EXXXXXCCCCCCCIIIIITTTTEDDDD!!

Where at in Canada? I am in Nova Scotia!

Newbie question....I have my hotel reservation made separately at Pop (which is a host resort) will we be able to use the transportaion since we didn't book as a package? I'm still considering renting a car for the freedom it provides, but would like to know as a back up. Thanks!

But UGH! Animal Kingdom lodge isn't a race hotel anymore! We had priced out DVC points and such.... back to the drawing board

Maybe we'll stay at SSR or Beach Club Villas. Or HOPEFULLY I can convince my wife that we stay at Poly a few nights on the race price and then move to another resort. She hates changing resorts...but we're planning to be there 9 nights so maybe that'll make it feel not so bad.

Super bummed about the change in host resorts. They took off a huge one (AKV) and added small properties that have been booked tight for almost 4 months. No studio availibility at BWV or VWL for me.

Feels like they're trying to push DVC members into paying $$$ for a room. I'm going to have to wait until my 7 month booking window opens for SSR to sign up and hope that something there is available!

All registered! We were going to rent points at AKL but decided to save money and booked a Mermaid room.

Registering myself was super easy getting DD into kids race was crazy. Kept telling me I was told old to run but if I used DD it kept saying she wasn't old enough to register. Kept doing the same thing and it eventually worked.

I know that people have booked Dolphin and used the BC bus for transportation. I see no reason why you have to book through run Disney vs TA to use transportation from a host hotel.

I am in! This will be my 5th half and second at Disney! Just did Ocean's Run in RI this Sunday with my best time ever by over two minutes!

We are staying at AKL (we are DVC and staying club level!) and will have a rental car

Ps! I have been on Disboards for a little while and I havent figured it out.. What on earth is DH DD DS? All i can think of is Disney Husband Disney Daughter or Disney Son.. lmao

For what it's worth, we're staying at the Royal Plaza at Downtown Disney. They're obviously not a host hotel, but it's quiet and has it's own dedicated taxi service. So we're going to take a cab over to Epcot, ride the race bus over to WWoS, and call for the taxi to pick us up at Epcot after the party. I would suggest to not count out the non-Disney hotels but check with them and see if the provide any services like the Plaza does. And since it is where it is, you're not in the middle of chaos like I'm sure some of the other hotels are that weekend!

I always thought it was DW - Disney Wife, DD - Disney Daughter, DH - Disney Husband, DS - Disney Son, but I guess it could be whatever you want it to be
