The Official 2010 MNSSHP- Tips,Tricks and a few Treats !

Hi, new to MNSSHP too, though this will be my 7th visit to WDW.

We are from Argentina and we are very excited about the party. We'll most likely attend to the last Sept Party or the first Oct Party.

Is there any difference on crowds for each night. I suppose Sept should be easier than dates closer to Halloween. Am I right?

Now, the big question, on this thread I haven't seen Jack Skellington mentioned whatsoever (or I missed it). DD4 is a Huge fan. Is there something related to Jack?

Thanks in advance.

mom2rtk, your daughter is so cute!

I haven't decided which date we are going yet, but I want the whole family to dress up for sure. My husband is not that gung ho about it, but he's a chef IRL and kinda looks like Linguine from Ratatouille so maybe I'll pack his work clothes and a few props...

So, sorry if this was mentioned already, but what time can u pick your wristbands up from? Is it 4?

There are sooo many rumours running that we are going to have to wait til either Disney announces it or the first party

Forgive me if I missed a response to an earlier question on this thread but I as well thought I had read somewhere that there was a discounted Photopass opportunity for MNSSHP. Is anyone aware of this?

Our first party is the week of 9/20 and we're getting excited.

Thanks for any help!!

I have my e-tickets for MNSSHP and there is an ad on them that reads: "Look for PhotoPass Photographers at the event, get your photo taken & receive special party savings!" Not sure what the discount is though.

When you get your pictures taken at the party, be sure to get a new party-specific photopass. Previously photos taken on those cards were eligible for a 40% discount for prints. The discount did NOT apply toward purchase of the CD.

You know the way the have special merchandise for the halloween party's is this only available from 7pm on party nights or is it available all day the day of parties?

It's from 7 on. And that early in the evening, they probably won't sell it to anyone without a wristband. It's one of the perks of buying a ticket.

That's great info in that link, thanks! Does anyone think that the photopass will be worth it? I've never had it, do you HAVE to purchase anything on it while you are there, or do you just choose when you get home on the site?

I'm so excited we are attending this year for the 1st time. My boys are 7 and 3 and they are so excited.

I was thinking about going on the day of arrival for us, we are staying at the Dolphin for 1 night and switching over to AKV.

My question is, does anyone think it makes sense to attend the party the 1st night? Our plane arrives in Orlando at 11:30 a.m., so I thought it would be enough time to eat lunch and take a nap then go to the party.

Or should we attend the party later in the week? We are staying 9 nights, so we should have enough time.

Thanks, I can use some help :goodvibes

Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but I was checking on the Disney Visa site for any offers and saw that the Halloween Party has prices of $44 for many dates in Oct with the Visa Card. Hope they do this for when we go for the Christmas Party. It's a better discount than the AP one.

That's for DisneyLAND not DisneyWORLD

If you pre purchase the photo pass can you include the pics from your MNSSHP?

Yes. You can include ANY photopass from your trip.

And lest anyone not know this....... take a digital photo of the back of ANY photopass you get. If you lose the card, all you need is the number from the back of the card to add them to your account.

I think it depends on what your plan for the next day will be. My niece didn't wake up until very late the day after the party. I'm going to guess it was after 10 am when I called to say there was no way we were making our 11:40 ADR at GG and she was still sound asleep.

The following year I made sure to pick a party night a few days into our vacation and left both the party night and the following day rest days. We hung out at the resort and DTD. She napped before leaving the resort on the party night.

posted this in another thread re MVMCP...from passporter newsletter.:headache:They're usually very reliable as to info & up until now i was discounted the rumors that 4 pm entry time wouldn't be allowed this year. hope they're wrong as i wasn't planning on using a MYW tix that day.

Odd re the comment as to being allowed in with confirmed ADR:confused3, i highlighted in red, since i have an ADR approx 5 pm maybe it means i'd still be permitted in early:idea:. Anybody else in the same boat might want to make an ADR ASAP.;)

No Early Entry for MNSSHP & MVMCP? It is being reported that guests attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) will not be allowed to enter the park until the party begins at 7:00 pm unless they have either valid daytime admission to the park or a confirmed Advanced Dining Reservation (ADR). For the past few years guests without daytime admission were allowed to enter the park as early as 4:00 pm using the party ticket.

We are going on Oct. 21. We have Pirates League at 3:10. We are going to have to use a ticket to get in the park at 3, then go back and get our wrist bands. I don't have a problem with this. But my main goal this year is to get my picture with Snow white and the 7 dwarfs. Where do I need to be and when? Thanks.
