It just figures! The Boston Red Sox have made a late season charge and are now breathing down the neck's of the Evil Empire

. So what do they do? Ask the commissioner's office to forfeit their game against Tampa Bay on Monday! To his credit, Bud Selig made it clear why he rejected the request. The Stinkees realize how bad their pitching is and it's apparent that they will do whatever it takes to put ground between them and the Red Sox. The fact that the Stinkees management pouted over Selig's decision is what really bothers me though! If the Devil Rays inability, or even their reluctance to leave their families was not a good enough reason for a postponment, than what is?! King George

I love the YANKEES and when DH told me this I was very disappointed in them. I would have expected a little more compassion than that. Even though I disagree with what they did I am a fan till the end.

In defense (somewhat) of the Yanks...The commissioner of baseball told Tampa Bay to leave FL on Thursday to make it up to NY in time. The Devil Rays refused. Thus, the Yankees request. I still think it was cold-hearted, but the news constantly forgets to say that the MLB made the initial request for Tampa Bay to leave or the game may have to be forfeited.

For us in Florida this is a new if not all time LOW.

It was terrible here during the Hurricane. Players had homes and more importantly families to worry about. The airports were closed. What were they to do fly out early and sit in New York and leave their wives and small children to face an unknown hurricane all alone. In the face of what what a terrible hurricane this has been this is just really LOW and shameful. This is big news here in Florida and for Floridians who have been hit by now two hurricanes its a real slap in the face.

By the Way, at the Yankee Team training camp IN TAMPA where they have spring training, the Hurricane blew down their sign with all their championships on it. Perhaps a sign of this year.

ps - just heard on the new we still have 2.5 million Floridans out of Power. And now Ivan is heading our way.

I was shocked and saddened to read that my beloved Yankees were being so cold hearted. Guess it all comes down to the W-L column. I expected more. If Frances had been bearing down on NY for days I'll bet they would have opted to stay with their wives and children too.

How could you say that the Yankees can't win on their own? How many Championships have the BoSox won? How many Division Championships have they won? Last year was the first time in how many years that you were able to eat a hot dog in Fenway in OCTOBER!!!! Get over yourself. It's not over til the fat lady sings.

Ya kinda like the 22-0 drubbing the Yanks took at the hands of the Tribe a week ago great job. I hate the Yanks mind you I am a national league fan atleast they make the pitcher take some cuts at the plate unlike the AL.
