Oh you had to know that this was coming! Hot off the Associated Press wire...

Bronx, NY -
According to sources close to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the AP sports wire has learned that Devil Rays owner Vincent Naimoli has asked the commissioners office to reimburse his ball club for expenses incurred due to todays cancelled double-header between Naimoli's Devil Rays and the New York Yankees. Two more wins would push Naimoli's club over the 60 win mark, which would then kick in a seldom used incentive clause, providing his team with free Tropicana orange juice for a year. Naimoli was livid when told that his team would not be able to play against the division rival Yankees because of inclement weather and poor field conditions. "I can't believe this is happening to us" Naimoli told reporters. "George Steinbrenner can put together a $200 million ballclub, but he can't figure out how to change the weather. I mean this guy rubs shoulders with Donald Trump for cripes sakes. Naimoli's ire grew after his team had to leave their families behind to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Hurricane Frances. Naiomoli pointed out that Steinbrenner and Trump are the two most influential millionaires in New York City. "Couldn't they have build a dome over Yankee Stadium after we finished playing last night?" he asked. It is believed that Naimoli is seeking reimbursement of airfare, hotel lodging, cab fare to the stadium, lunch and dinner costs at the famed Hello Deli and as a good will gesture he is asking for 25 tickets to Cats. The commisioners office had no comment on the cancellation, but indicated that Naimoli may be better off seeing The Producers or The Lion King.
