The nutters in CA who chained up 13 kids...

Im confused because in the one you posted there are only 12 kids and the youngest boy is clearly younger than the media picture being used now which is reportedly from 2016. The dresses are the same though meaning they were reused.

Weren’t you saying you thought the baby was around since 2010 or did we misunderstand what you were trying to say?
also in the 2013 photo the girl on the far left has reddish hair- It has lost a lot of the red color and is much more brown in all the 2016 photos with the baby.
The did three vow renewals with the same impersonator over the years and seem to have used the same dresses ---and yes the very minimal growth in the kids from one to the next says a lot

Knowing that some of those kids were well into their 20's when the second photo was taken sheds some light on the alleged abuse. I'm sorry, but not ONE of those kids looks remotely like an adult, let alone in their mid-late 20's. That is scary as hell. No way is that "natural." It looks like long term malnutrition to the point where puberty was stopped. I've seen that in "adult" women....those with severe anorexia for example. If I saw JUST that photo, and knew none of the facts, sure they look like "normal" kids ranging from baby to early teens. Knowing that some are adults? Makes me very sad.

Of the several photos I've seen the childrens' faces are blurred out so it's been impossible for me to guess the ages of the taller family members by that. I will say that in one photo at Disney 2 children are overweight (using limbs at a guideline) but the limbs of the others do not appear to be anorexic. Still when you count the amt of people in this photo there are more than 14 so hard to tell who is who. This is the picture I'm speaking of:

The same picture with the matching outfits was used as their cover picture back in 2010. They're not recent photos.
Didn't realise that they used the photo on their FB more than once.

I recall seeing this one--it was one of the older photos and I was looking at how arms of some of hte kids, espeically the older girls get thinner and thinner after this. You'll noticve there are more than 12/13 blurred out faces here and I recall there being other people in the photo---grandparents and aunt or uncles or cousins maybe? I noticed it and one other with grandparent being the onl photos that invol ved other people who might know them versus a character or impersonator. The overweight ones are not the kids in any of hte other photos. Looking closely, even with the faces blurred out, you can see that those two have wavier hair styled very differently.

it looked to me like basically from this photo on the kids hardly grow/change. Add to that it being the most r4ecent photo involving other "regular" people and I wondered if the most sevre abuse began shortly thereafter

Mathematics has never been my favorite, but I'm counting more than 13 here. Just a wild guess all those in the photo may not be the children of these parents. As such, I'm not sure how much credence I would put in any "overweight limbs">

Just noted that myself and edited the post accordingly:). Still, nobody in that photo looks anorexic.

yep, the ones that are not wearing the matching Disney shirts are the ones who's arms aren't as thin, pretty sure they are not part of the immediate family. I saw the photo on FB without the faces being blurred and they definitely looked different than the rest of the crew.

Should also be noted, being denied proper nutrients to a serious degree, is not the same as being denied calories to the point of being anorexic. It can halt growth and puberty but still leave a more or less "normal" thin build of a child intact.

I cannot tell you how many really short 80ß year olds (esoecially women) there are in germany---people who did not get proper nutrition under the third reich.

That's what I was going to say. There are two different styles of pink shirts that match on the younger girls, a black one for the boys and gray for the older girls. I believe I count 12. So probably before the youngest was born.

Does anyone have a timeline on pictures from FB? I'd be interested in noting which pictures some are speaking of.

I assume they will do a thorough search of the home and grounds to be sure there aren't any bodies buried.

What I hear described is pretty extreme, so I wouldn't rule anything out at this point. I assume the authorities have the same question.

...

Didn't realise that they used the photo on their FB more than once.

Their FB Page was still active yesterday, so many of us saw unblurred photos there. My 8th grader is very petite (shortest in her grade), but she looks more mature than any of the girls in the most recent photos.

As for the second part, they did not use the same photos for years (and therefore outdated/kids were much younger). The earlier photos were clearly from a different year, but the kids were wearing the same dresses so I think that poster was confused.

I did a google image search of their last name and found this pic. If those ages are correct... Holy cow. So incredibly sad.

Oh my gosh, if that's accurate it's beyond sad, and very creepy, too, that the kids in their twenties are still dressing like that! I know that's the least of the offenses, but it still is so creepy to me.

Not quoting because I don't want to preserve it further, but all those photos are plastered all over the media with the faces blurred for what I think is good reason. This may be a topic of discussion here, but it is no doubt very painful real life to some vulnerable and hurting people.

Agreed.

I did consider that, but the picture I posted is from a four hour old NBC article -- so very much a mainstream source that I didn't have to dig to find. That, coupled with the fact that there are no minor children pictured in the photo, is why I was comfortable posting it.

The fact they are beyond the age of majority doesn't override the fact they were essentially captives in my eyes.

If the time the pictures were taken is indeterminate, some may have in fact been minors at the time.
