Today started fairly late again, and we headed into the park for around 9am. We were thrilled to find even more Halloween decorations up today!
But there were also some lovely charming patches of the original Main Street USA that we all know and love!
We went round to Buzz for two rides, which was then followed by three rides on teacups and one round of Peter Pan. We then headed to the 'secret' way into Frontierland for rope drop.
Once in Frontierland, we managed to fit in three goes on Big Thunder Mountain, followed by a ride on Phantom Manor. We then went back round to Fantasyland for another look in the Castle, and we went to visit the dragon too.
We popped into the glass and crystal shop under the castle, where Robert bought me this lovely bracelet (I swear he does just surprise me with these things!
):
We saw some of the Main Street vehicles heading towards the Castle full of characters, so we watched those for a bit, before we then headed round for a ride on POTC before we had our lunch at the Blue Lagoon. A review can be found here . We had a lovely lunch, and then decided to make our way towards Alices Curious Labyrinth. This is another thing thats been refurbished and it looks great!
We decided to wander back through the Castle, and as we came through we saw some characters doing a mini parade and dancin' a catchy rythym!
We had a sit near the Castle for a bit, and after a while we noticed that the Mickey's magical party show was due to start, so we sat near the castle (A surprsingly good vantage point!) and watched some the show, which was rather good!
After this, we headed over to Star Tours as Robert requested another a go on it... This time we were sat at the front, which is pretty cool. You feel a lot more like you're actually moving here... However, you also slip around a lot as theres nothing in front of you!
We then did a bit of shopping on main street where we bought fudge from the Boardwalk Candy Palace (Caramel flavour- My fave!). I then told Robert he had to pick something for his souvinier from the trip from me. He chose a limited edition Phantom Manor lanyard (Something like 641 out of 1000?) and a couple of pins. He also bought himself this limited edition pin featuring Brer Rabbit:
After this, we headed out of the parks for a rest before our gastronomic feast at the California Grill... After we got ready, we wandered round through the village where we bumped into Eloise (booknut) and her family... We posed for a piccie:
We chatted for a bit, before we headed on seperately- Lovely to meet you Eloise!
We called into Cafe Fantasia for cocktails before our 7pm reservation. What a lovely bar! We loved the musical theming!
A lovely way to start the evening! We then headed to the California Grill, where we had an absolutely amazing evening... I've reviewed the meal here.
We left feeling very very full, but decided to go and do some last minute shopping in the Village so we could pack it into our cases. We bought a few presents and a couple of pins, then had a laugh at a CM who was wearing the Halloween costumes and jumping out at his colleagues... Very funny!!
We then headed back to the Sequoia Lodge to have a nice bath, and also to pack for going home...
We had a fairly late night, discussing an action plan for the next day to make the most of our last day....
