So my pony Comet right? Completely headshy with severe trust issues. Some pathetic excuse of a life form obviously had him as a youngster and didn't know what they were doing and has beaten him senseless to get the bridle on and clip him. Now he's a great pony and he has very few faults but he is a nightmare to bridle. So i'm pretty much an idiot and yesterday I ran out of carrots (which we usually put underneath the bit so he takes it straight away without fussing) well he would not take the bridle and I got very very fed up so I punched his shoulder and shouted at him (not hard at all mind) until he took his bit. Well today I took the bridle in and he cowered in the corner of the stable and I do not ever ever again want to be associated with such fear, it was awful. Today he wouldn't even take it with a carrot underneath, that's how much it affected him. So it was rainy so I had a quick ride and spent the rest of my time putting some food under the bit and trying to get him to accept it when he didn't I kept calm pulled his head down reassuringly and just said come on comet in a firm but kind tone and put my fingers in his mouth to open it up, guess what? 5 minutes and it was in. I gave him some food and a pat took it off and repeated it over and over and each time he got better. I don't think he's going to take the bit without food and coaxing for a very very long time, if it all and it makes me mad to think someone could ruin a pony in such a way. He has some trust issues and can play up whilst being ridden, so many people want to shout and hit their ponies but with Comet you have to gently squeeze him and be encouraging. It just sickens me that somebody has ruined this pony. He's going to be hard to sell because as lovely as he is he isn't ever going to be straight forward and it takes him a while to build up trust with people. I have never had problems catching him, he comes to me when I call but my friends tried to catch him today and they couldn't get near him.

Sorry.

My obsession is modeling and pageants. I really aspire to become the next Teen USA, but that won't happen because there are so many girls all over the place that aspire to do the same thing and there can only be one.

Cool. Your obsession sounds so ...serious (in a good way, mind)I have tonnes of obsessions and are a bit...childish. Twilight, Jonas Brothers, Doctor Who, Harry Potter and to be ultimately awesome at French :)

Ohh. Tbh i don't know what to say. It's harsh that somebody would treat an animal the way he was treat. It's good that he has you know, though :). It's nice to know that he will be treat better now that he is with you and not the other owner.

It sounds like the owners who had him before you neglected Comet a bit and now you are feeling the effects of it. My advice is to try and be patient with him. How long have you had him as your own?

I've had him for 6 weeks. His previous owners picked him up at an auction and completely re-schooled him so I think it was the people before them and he's just gone back to square one with me because we're still getting to know each other.

Omfg.
My cat chewed up my Vogue Italia!
I didn't even read it yet!
GRRRR, now I have to get a new one, because it's all saliva covered, and ripped.

:rotfl: Sorry but i had to laugh :).

My cat never does anything but sleep :). If he eats anything it's probably daddy long legs and his own food.:lmao:

Gawd.
My english teacher is a meanie..
She said I could have done better in my Speaking assignment.

Yeah, I enjoy it so much. It is fun.

It is a shame that someone can make an animal , in this case a horse hard to handle just because of one silly/stupid way of handling an animal. Just treat him well and he will open up to you eventually, 6 weeks isn't a lot of time.

I did a speaking test with Patrick, we got an A. We both tried to do the whole presentation in a Liverpool accent but it didn't go too well :rotfl: Because i'm from the north, everyone in the south loves my accent, and Patrick is convinced i speak with a Liverpool accent.:lmao: But i failed my other speakinf tests, i think.:lmao:

It's awful right? It's heartbreaking to see your pony cower in the corner of the stable and know that it is your fault. I'm just going to have to build up some trust my putting the bridle on several times a day (the kind way). I also have to hold his feet until he stops trying to put them down and at the end of rides I take him back out of the gates back in back out back in back out and so on to get rid of his nappiness. I think if we have to sell him on once we outgrow those three problems will come back in a greater form with the new owners but they are his only problems and as long as they're willing to work on them kindly he's definitely the best pony ever.

Mine likes to sleep in the bathroom sink, or the bottom of the shower, so when you go to take a shower, you nearly have a heart attack because there's this big furry thing on the floor.

You are lucky you don't have the Devil itself teaching you.

You need to remember that its not all your fault.

I never did pageants, but I modeled since I was 7 until 14, then I modeled a bit last year.

I do at least 5 pageants a year, mostly in Florida and the big one on the East Coast. Next year I may even enter a United States sponsored pageant where teens from all over the country participates..
