Looks like I missed everyone again...and I managed to get here earlier, too!

Ann, can you send me some of that cleaning energy? I only managed to do two loads of laundry, and STARTED cleaning the kitchen counters and washing dishes...I won't even admit how long some of 'em were waiting for me... I did manage to make an oven stuffer, stuffing, carrots and cinnamon rolls for dinner, though. It's the only night of the week we all get to eat dinner home together (we go to my parents' house the other night). Gotta wait till the boys are in bed to do the floors - it's amazing how thirsty, hungry, WHATEVER they get right after I'm done washing the floors during the day!

I'm watching Trading Spaces, and keep getting depressed looking around my apartment - I couldn't even decide which room to change - ALL of them need help!!

Uh - oh - weird computer noises...I'm going to hurry and post before I lose this!

Congrats Brandie & Matthew!!!!!!!

OK........so the brunch is over, and Debbie, you were right, it's easier to clean when it starts clean. It's just never clean enough to start with here (IMHO only, everyone else wonders why I get frantic). Anyway, gave DD her gift from me and DH. We went with jewelry........a gold band with channel-set alternating teeny diamonds and sapphires. She was pleased...I think...I got a better sense that she really liked it when she showed it off to her friends as they arrived for brunch. She really wanted a dog...has since she was little.....I kinda feel bad every Xmas and birthday because I will NEVER get her one. Figure I've gotta give her some incentive to move out of here and be responsible on her own someday . Her BF and I pulled off the real surprise of the day though. His dad is friendly with a former major-league player who grew up here and is now retired from baseball here. From this guy, the BF's father got tickets to this afternoon's RedSox game at Fenway Park. She had NO clue...! He got her a stuffed animal dog to open (which was neat--she DID get a dog ) and then said "oh, and my parents are coming in a little while to take us to the Red Sox game!!"

Hi Ann - everyone must be out having fun - I am at work. Today is my Monday, at least it is quiet here.

Your DD's gift sounds wonderful. Red Sox game too - I would have loved that, well if they were playing the Mariners.

Hi Christine--you may be hot but I assume you have AC at work. I'm sitting here just sweating...already got used to a little fall feeel in the air (especially at night and early morning!) over the last week even on the sunny days...and now it's 90 again ....

This is true - I am in air conditioning!! If it were not I think I would pass out! Man, I can not believe it that hot so far north!! I wish it would get cooler so I can head to WDW - it is far to hot for me to be in the parks right now.

Oh yes, getting my Monday over with early, thats a good thing. Plus I am supervising today so it is very quiet on my end, that is until I get the angry AAA members - at least they are far and few between.

Almost my dinner time so be back in a little while.

Debbie - get outta the pool I see a shark. lol

yesterday I tried to come here a couple times and my computer wouldn't let me...sumpin with the cable I guess

and NO Christine...a shark didn't eat me
there was a shark in the pool...but if it had tried to eat me, I'd have pulled its plug and let all its air out

yes it sure was warm here yesterday and again today. Summer is back for another couple days

Well, that is an excellent point Debbie! you see Cookie, it's just more "stuff" to do and expense...........the vet, the food, the what-do-when we-want-to-leave-for-the- (day, weekend, week........etc). I can just see myself not only forgetting to stop the newspaper, but realizing I didn't make arrangements to board the dog. Now with the cat...I already DO all that which is supposed to be the job of a certain 16 yr old. She has to be nagged to scoop the litter box and she wants a DOG? No thanks, I have too little time to DIS as it is and she'll be going to college hopefully in 2 short years even if she DID get a dog and take care of it herself now.......

Don't think I've asked this in a while - is anyone thinking of heading to WDW during DIS Con time?? I'm thinking of it, the babysitter actually convinced the kids to let me go by myself this time, and that she'd go with us in February or March.

Miss Cookie--I continue to "think" about WDW for DisCon, but that's all I do, is ponder. Maybe solo...or try to get my sister to come w/me........or sumpin'. Haven't seen airfare that galvanizes me into action though..........
