The "Newest" Moms Hangout...

She is wearing 12 mos pjs right now, so everything I'm buying is 12 mos or 18 mos. I don't know who sizes these clothes.

RIGHT!! Mine are in 18 months.. Vinny wore a 24 months outfit today, and it wasnt TO big on him! We went out to eat, and this couple was fawning over the babies.. The husband almost fell over when I told him that they were only 9 months old!:lmao:

I agree on whoever sizes the clothes is nutso.

Lucas outgrows the sleepers first because of his length. All his length is in his torso (like his Daddy) and so he has extra room on the legs but the snaps along the diaper area bust open. Oy!

Gerber sizes are ridiculous. He's wearing 18m Gerber stuff.

I'm just subscribing to this thread, coming over from the Moms to Be thread. I can't wait to get advice from you ladies!

You are SO RIGHT about Gerber! Alex was in 3-6 month cotton sleepers when he came home from the hospital. Right now we have him in some 3-6 month Disney cotton sleepers we found from K-Mart and they are almost too small for him. I need to find more cotton sleepers in the 6-9 month range soon.

Alex has also been waking up in the middle of the night again. Last night I got a 7 hour stretch, but today was up at 2a and 5a, just like a few nights ago. I can't wait until he's done with this growth spurt! I miss my sleep!

I just got an email for another free udder cover! Go to uddercovers.com and use promo code Christmas for $32 off your order, no matter what you get! Shipping is now $8.95.

I have 3 of these now (2 from here, and 1 my sister made in a tinkerbell pattern), so I'm set, but thought some of you could use it.

Do you know what brand the ring is? I've been trying to find a good one. My mom found some bright beginnings? ones that are smaller and actually fit in her mouth. I know it says not to freeze them, but we do anyway--they still don't stay cold very long. it's weird. so far the washcloth works the best.

My mom bought it at Tiffany's, she goes a little overboard. I'm afraid I might loose it. :rotfl2: I just looked at the website and it doesn't look like they have any right now. You can see it on this page though, it's the silver moon rattle.

Ah. I take Lucas out of his sleepers in the morning and he wears the same one 2 nights in a row, then he gets a bath and a new sleeper for the night. Unless, of course, he pees through his diaper.. but that is rare.

He gets a onesie/pants for the daytime. Or something cute if we're going someplace exciting... like to visit people. lol.

Guess we're lazy! lol She gets a new sleeper every day and we put her in real clothes if we go out or someone comes over...most of the time. :teeth:

Welcome!! I stopped going to the other thread, so I'd love to hear your birth story.

I never got the one I ordered the first time (September?) :confused3

Whoa! When you said silver, you meant silver! lol I thought it was plastic colored silver or something. Too cool!

How do you like the Sienna? Could it fit 3 car seat across the second row? We're currently looking right now....so hard to decide!

I seriously have a love/hate relationship with it.. I hate it because I prefer small cars.. BUT, with four kids that not an option!:lmao:Other then that, we LOVE it. We did so much research, it was ridiculous.. The seats are comfy, the price was right.. It seats 8. Plus we love the dealership we bought it at. We went in to buy our first car we bought there.. A Toyota Matrix.. The guy knew we werent buying that day, and he still spent HOURS with us. Test driving.. going over all different brands and styles.. Never once pushed us or tried to give us a hard sell. Not that that helps you out any!:lmao:

Anyways.. It will totally fit three car seats across the back. We have done it many times! All four of mine are in car seats.. So we have done it in many configs. I can fit the double stroller in the back, plus about $300. worth of groceries with no problem! We have fit all our camping stuff in it.. All kinds of stuff! I totally recommend it!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Sooo... I gave Lucas this LeapFrog baby toy I got him during the KMart clearance over the summer.

It says 6m+...

Who are they kidding? Sure he can hold it and stuff, but the thing told him that if he sees the color blue he should roar with him.
Right. Lucas will get right on that.

I just thought it was odd. Seems like it should be geared to a higher age.

Ahhhh.. a little sleep does wonders for the disposition, doesnt it? Both mine are tummy sleepers, and they do WAY better on their tummy then their back. I can understand that, I cant sleep on my back at all.

We were afraid Vinny was in need of a DOC band. He could only look one way, and his head was getting all wonky. We started stretching it out the other way, and his head is starting to really look better! He had a bulge on the back of his head that was getting really pointy, and thankfully.. it is starting to round out. We call it the point.. he likes it when I tickle it. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

On the sleeping front, seems like talking about it jinxed it. "course we had a long day yesterday, so I was srt of expecting them to not sleep so well. They both were up by 3 AM and after bottles just would *not* re-settle. Older DS had made his way to our bed by then & DH was rapidly losing patience. So I took both babies downstairs hoping that they'd (DS & DH) be able to sleep. The babies took turns in the swing & eventually they both calmed down enough to sleep in the PnPs. I caught another 2 hrs sleep on the sofa.

So the therapist that we saw called Dylan's wonky head shape on the "severe" side, so we're gonna do the DOC band. On Vinny's head, if it doesn't look to be self resolving, it's better to take him in for an eval sooner rather than later. If it's needed it's better to start treatment before 1 year & the earlier the better. Since we're starting before 6 months, they said depending on growth, it could take (or they would expect it to take) 2-4 months to fix Dylan's head. The place we went is Cranial Technolgies, link here: http://www.cranialtech.com/ they do have an online head shape assessment tool if anybody is wondering about their own babies. Gotta go, kids are yelling!

Seems to me there is a ton of stuff out there like that and babies seem to enjoy simple things more. Like paper and pots/pans! :thumbsup2 I actually read something somewhere that said things like blocks and stackers--the nonelectronic "classic" toys stimulated babies brains better. lol Who knows! :confused3

I actually agree. I got Natalie some soft building blocks, the Parents brand, and she will play with them. Since they are soft, they are easy for her to hold and put in her mouth. One thing she really likes is can coozies (sp?) for the same reasons I guess. They are soft and easy to hold.

I want those!!

Heads up! BRU rewards member shopping day (tomorrow) ad: (has formula deal)

I would go, but I work then DH has conferences and the weather's supposed to be awful...

Lucas wants things that make noise... shocking.

He's pushed me over the cliff a few times today. He's been screaming (not cry-screaming, but like he just developed his voice screaming) ALL DAY. Gave him that lion and he shut up.

I figure he'll get something like that from my dad's company Christmas party tomorrow night, though.

Sarah, thanks for posting that!

I'll probably go for the baby food. They accept coupons, too.. I'll have to round out what Gerber coupons I have to maximize the deal. Somewhere I have a $10 GC too.. hmmm.

I like to have those for taking with us in the diaper bag. Always good for my parents to have some around, too.

The formula is on RTF. Does anyone know if Maggie has seen it??

I know what you mean. Lily has started doing the most annoying fake cough cry everytime she is upset at all. Waaaakakakawaakakaka....ahhhhh!!!

Glad to help!

I posted it specifically for her.:thumbsup2 Do you want to PM her?

I wish we had a TRU near me, the closest one is over an hour away. I see several things that I would like to buy...

Natalie has really found her voice this past week as well. The funny thing is she will yell at the football game. She loves to watch football. I think it is kinda cute. Another thing she will yell at is her mobile in her crib, then she start laughing. She likes to sit in my lap and OOHHHHH really loud.
