We'll be going Dec. 4-11th - our first time at WL! I was wondering if there are coffee pots in the room, or should I bring my little 4-cup pot? I hate not having coffee when I get ready in the morning, and don't want to have to run downstairs to get it. Also, I have a woods view room - hate to say it, but I've gotten a little confused as I read all of the posts - can I get a view of MK from the woods view, and in everyone's opinion, where would you ask to be? (We will need two queen beds).

The Lodge has coffee pots available, but you'll need to call Mousekeeping to request one once you are in your room. When I book a Woods View I request North Wing 5th floor over looking the otter pond (unless you are a smoker the 6th floor has the smoking rooms) Hope you enjoy your first stay at Wilderness lodge Yes the views can be confusing so good luck.

Tig-girl - looks like we will be at the Lodge at the same time!! I am so excited I can barely sleep already :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

 to say HELLO to all my WL friends!~Hi Fred, Kimmar, Jessica, Beckie...and the REST of the GANG!!

Kimmar...go for the SPLIT~STAY!! It's a WIN~WIN situation, and always my FAV "GO-TO" plan when all the rates are so AWESOME! :teeth:

Enjoy the weekend...

:wave2: Hi everyone -
I haven't been to this end of the boards in a while...

since out last vaca plans got cancelled due to our new little addition!

Well wousesavers had a code that goes til the first day of spring break for us up here - SO I bboked 3 nites at the lodge for April 16,17,and 18th (even though I really wanted later in the week - the code isn't available after the 16th :(

I was sooo excited I forgot requests - duh
I really need a bunk room (we actually can put 5 in a rom cuz the baby doesn't really count)
BUT
I am really hoping to get a conceirge upgrade...

and I miss 999ghost too (in response to someones post at the beginning of the threads about him/her) I honestly believe he/she sent pixie dust to us in 2002!

Pattyt,
Is it rare to get upgraded to conceirge? We have courtyard at WL during a value season. That would be a wonderful upgrade.

I still PM her from time to time!! She is posting under a different name...but I can't say! FloridaCat had a suspicion about a poster and asked me to PM her last year! ...and it turned out to be her! She WAS a room assigner for WL!::yes::

FloridaCat was one smart CAT. While I never knew 999ghost, I know she is widely spoken of as extraordinary, and is named again and again with honor on all of the Wilderness Lodge FAQ Threads I have even gone back to try and read some of her post but they have all been removed. Is it permissible to tell what happened or why her post were removed?

I was wondering the same thing

Lambert-----I see that you will be there one day before me, and actually with my split stay, I'll be hitting WL a bit later in the week. When are you checking out?

And Hello to everyone! I have been so busy lately that I have not had a chance to get on and post, but I think about you all!

Hi Tig-girl! We are there Nov 6-13. I have so much to do before we leave. DH took some of us down to wine country yesterday - blew the WHOLE day there. Tons of fun, but I am exhausted now, and I didn't get one thing done for our trip  I need to get going on laundry and packing. And cleaning the house. Oh, and picking what rides we really don't want to go on. LOL!

I just can't wait!

I just upgraded my room to courtyard with the BDP code. I am sooooooooo happy. We are going the first week of Feb. What are the chances of getting an upgrade? Free or inexpensively at check in. Has anyone here has been upgraded from courtyard? If so what kind of room did you get? If we don't get an upgrade it will not dissapoint me because I was hoping for a woods view and eevrything extra is just gravy.

Well since you have booked Courtyard View, if Concierge isn't full you may get upgraded to the 7th floor, maybe for $40.00 or $50.00 more a night, Maybe for Free PIXIE DUST for a MAGICAL TRIP.

Are the concierge rooms any different? Do any of the rooms have bunk beds? I have not heard much about the deluxe rooms. Are the Deluxe rooms much bigger? I have so many questions. Oh heres another one coming on. Has anyone recieved an upgrade to a villa? Or are they just for the DVC members? I am going to have to write a very detailed trip report when I return to make up for all of the questions I have asked over the last few months. LOL

Tara, I would recommend that you read the post that MagicinmyHeart made in the first few posts of the thread. (Page 1) There is lots of info there about rooms and how they differ or are the same.

I've never really heard of someone getting an upgrade to the Villas though. They aren't just for DVC members either. You can try to book a villa if there is one available. Someone want to correct me if I am wrong please?

You are correct about CRO being able to make reservations for the Villas. Disney has retained controll on a certain # of rooms for each DVC Resort, and offers them to rent all the time.

During Peak Season a STUDIO would be $389.00 a night, (sleeps 4+one infant under the age of 3) a ONE-BEDROOM VILLA is $535.00 (sleeps 4+one infant under the age of 3) a TWO-BEDROOM VILLA is $865.00 (Sleeps 8+ one infant under the age of three)
