SHHHHH!!! I just upgraded from POFQ to WL Concierge in Sept.. WE stayed there during our Disneymoon, in a courtyard room. I have soooo many questions!!!! Having problems with finding them. Any info from others who have stayed at concierge would be much appreciated!!! When do they get in touch with you???

I just posted a reply on your other thread regarding my specific concierge experience in December last year. On both of my Concierge reservations, last year..and my upcoming August trip.. the IPO at the WL contacted me a day or so after I made my reservation. They sent me an attachment which I had to open up and fill out and send back to them. They also gave me a phone number, which I have had to use to call them once..but otherwise have only emailed them. You are just going to love staying CL there! I'm hooked

I've been debating over whether to switch from WL Woods view to AKL standard, or even a moderate, just to save some money.

But after looking at pictures from our WL Anniversary trip last year, I realized that I LOVE THIS RESORT, and am not changing a darn thing!

It seems cool, quiet, just perfect...we had a fifth floor woods view in the North wing last year, we could see bits of Wishes from our balcony...even if we don't get a refurbished room, I will be just so happy to be back!

Only complaint? Roaring Forks took chili dogs and nachos off the menu!

Has anyone heard or know if the refurbishment of the Lodge will include the villas? Or, because they are a DVC property would that not be included in it?

Oh no! My DD looks SO forward to those nachos, it's the first thing she gets when we go to RF the first time :(

So excited! Just switched ressies from BC-which I know I'd love-back to WL-ds4's favorite!!!

Now-we can enjoy-he loves the kiddie pool and I can get my car bumper fixed! :cool1:

We're hoping for Woods view for Fireworks or upgrade! Either way-so excited!

WDW and new bumper :cheer2: Couldn't be happier!

The Villa's are really fairly new..I would be surprised if they would refurbish them this early.

That is sort of along the lines of what I was thinking too, Lisa. I'm just kind of trying to get a feel of things and what it is going to be like for us in June.

I know! It might seem silly to some people...but DH equates theme parks with chili dogs and nachos. It's his thing, leave it alone. :rotfl: And truthfully, there are very few places in WDW where you could get both, and RF was one of them. We would split one of those huge chili dogs almost every afternoon after wearing ourselves out in the pool...lounging in the afternoon sun, having a cold drink and an indulgent, childhood memory snack, it's one of our favorite activities.

You're the WL expert...where do we send a letter? Hahaha!

Here's one address you can send it to.

Hotel Address:
Attention: General Manager Brian Britton
901 Timberline Drive
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-1000

...wow, poor thing, you lead a ROUGH life! :teeth:

:sunny: Hi! I'm considering splitting my time in Sept between free dining package (in lodge itself) and DVC rental (studio villa). I'm a single mom of 4 children under 12 (youngest is infant).

Would you share your thoughts on advantages/disadvantages between staying in the lodge itself and staying in the villas? Any and all information, opinions gratefully accepted! :teeth: Thank you!!

I reserved a standard room at WL, requested it be on the south side, and would like to know if all the rooms have outdoor balconies. :confused3

I spent 2004 and Hurricane Frances in this location. My room had a balcony. I really don't know of any of the rooms that don't have a balcony.

All rooms at WL have balconies or a patio if on the first floor.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and have a question. Most of my stays at WDW have been at CBR. I love it there and its VERY affordable for me! However, I will be going to WDW for my honeymoon in October 2008 and would like to stay somewhere a little nicer! WL sounds amazing and I even noticed that they have a honeymoon suite. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much info about the honeymoon suite. Prices, layout, why it's considered the honeymoon suite, difference amond the rest of the rooms, and so on. Any info anyone has will be appreciated. Thank you! :sunny:

SHHH! I just upgraded our August package to a Woodsview- Husband doesn't know. When first discussing the trip he said the boys didn't need bunkbeds and we're not in the room that much so I booked standard. We stayed in a Woodsview room back in 2003 and loved it. So I booked the standard but it's been eating away at me. Well today I got a retro paycheck since my school district settled our teaching contract so I came home and upgraded. Now I have to break it to him gently. My only other problem is my DSIL nad DBIL also booked a standard so I'll have to tell them too just in case they want to spend more . :cloud9:

For one there is more privacy in these rooms. There aren't many other rooms "next" to yours. (hint hint nudge nudge) :)

There's also a jacuzzi tub.

Raised ceilings.

King bed. (hubba hubba!)

It's on the club level floor so you get all of the concierge features.

Note that there are only 4 total honeymoon suites in the hotel and they are all on the 7th floor. None of them have a view of the courtyard unfortunately.

See the link in my signature that goes to my WL photo gallery. There is a section there with pics of the honeymoon suite. :)

Hope all of this helps.

Fred

.... :rotfl: Fred, you are TOO funny!

Good morning all! Our trip is finally within sight. Can any of you Wl experts tell me if Roaring Forks is fully functional? What items are the menu? I'm sure we will have a great stay no matter what.
