Don't know if you guys saw this yet or not. Click the link below to see pictures of the new food service area side of RF.

It looks great. Wish they added another register or two though. Can't wait to see what they do with the seating area.

.... :thumbsup2 thanks for the link! *sigh* Makes me homesick.... :guilty: !

Well I took your suggestion to call :guilty: since I changed my booking over from Disney to AAA they won't even check for me. They said the AAA agent had to. It's obvious that my agent is not as much interested in my trip as I am. So, I guess I'll leave him a voice mail asking him to try every week or so and hope he cares enough to check.

Have a magical day,
Anna

Well..I am not sure how lucky you will be..but I will certainly cross my fingers for you!! Now a warning..once you stay Concierge...you might be like me..and never think you can staying anything but Concierge again! :teeth: I would keep calling..there may be cancellations. What was neat, after we went through the guard shack, someone from Concierge was waiting for us as we got out of the car! By booking ahead of time..and not having to wait until check-in..you'd get to experience that. Then we were told to take our time settling into our room and then come to the Concierge desk to check in. Since I had a surprise waiting for my DD's in the room (they had just received their Black Belts..and I bought them Black Belt Mickey plushes..in a Christmas stocking filled with goodies..and balloons)..it was nice to be able to enjoy that moment before taking care of the "business" stuff. In any event.. good luck!!

Thanks for the link! Great pictures. .....just gets me that more excited to get there!

Have a magical day,
Anna

Hey everyone I've added a few pics to my photo gallery today. Lamps and lights from all over the lodge, art work, and pictures of Roaring Fork before renovations.

Enjoy!

Thank you SO much..I really enjoyed your photos :) Hmmm..wouldn't it be great if Disney auctioned off some of that lighting after the renovations??? I have a "Lodge" theme to my living room...I think I could find a place for one of those wall sconces! :Pinkbounc

Fred,

Great pictures. Marcel and I are going over to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday and we are planning to stop by the Wilderness Lodge.

We will try and get pictures of the renovated Roaring Forks and send them to you for your album!! :thumbsup2

I'm sure this has been asked before but I hope you don't mind me asking again. What is a Concierge JD room??? Do they have rooms on concierge level with bunkbeds??? Can you add concierge access to any room???? Iam thinking of possibly upgrading to CL but my sons really want bunkbeds.

WAH! I went to the link and it said there were no pictures there. On the very bright side your night pictures of the lodge were just beautiful! Thanks.

Have a magical day,
Anna

The code "Concierge JD" simply is the code for Concierge. When I went to make my ressie last year..I called and asked if this meant "Junior Deluxe" and the CM told me no.. JD was simply part of the code. I booked "concierge JD" and it was a regular Concierge room. I had a room with bunks on Concierge in December. If you are hoping for a view of the MK on the North side though..they told me that there is only one room on the North side of the concierge level that has bunks..so I got a Courtyard..as the MK facing room was already occupied. But you definitely can get bunks on that level! I have heard where people had access to the floor added to their key..but I don't know if they will definitely do it..I would assume it would be the luck of the draw... and wouldn't count on it. Hope that helps :)

Cool! Can you do me a favor? Can you take some pictures of more artwork and also those large mission style lamps hanging in the hall by the mercantile? Also want exterior lighting if there's anything cool.

Thanks! Wish I could go with you guys. Heh.

No problem. I think we even have some of those type pictures already. Marcel was playing with the camera settings taking a picture of the artwork in the room one day. He got some neat looking shots.

I also got one of a rug that they had by the back elevators on the Club Level. I would love to have that rug!!!!

By the way, I forgot to tell you guys, when we were there we were talking about all the furniture and fixtures at the lodge. The CM gave me a list of the places Disney got that furniture from. It is very interesting. I can send a copy to anyone who would like one!! :goodvibes

P.S. Wish you could be there too!!

Oh yeah...bring it on! :) Email it to me ok?

Actually, it would be easier to mail it to you. I have your address. I just need to make copies and will get it in the mail to you on Monday!!

Does anyone know..if you get a CL room, Courtyard, on the south side of the resort..do you have the ability to see the MK fireworks..or castle itself from those rooms? I am thinking the roof of the north side would be in the way...but am not sure. I was going to check it out in December..but never got over to that side.

Lisa,

That is funny. We usually stay on the South and this June we are thinking of moving over to the North side (for a change).

This past trip we had room 7119 and although we were not able to see the Castle, we did see the tops of the fireworks. We were also able to see the Electric Night Parade. Always remember there is that window on the North side that you can look out of. We even opened the shutters to have a wide open view. :sunny:

Maybe I will try and request the south side this time. As the girls really want bunks (they sleep so much better without aggravating over who is hogging the bed) and there's little chance of that with a north woods view...and even if I get a glimpse of them at night if we are in the room..it would be nice. I don't think I was able to see the EWP from the North wing courtyard views..those trees to the left were in the way.
